Helen was studying at school when all of her female friends suddenly started finding boyfriends – either the same age or a bit older. Helen looked on them with envy – she wasn’t the prettiest girl, but she was ready for her first romance story as well. She was the only single girl left among her friends, and needless to say she felt really awkward when they went out and they all brought their dates with them.

But one day, Helen’s prayers were heard. She went to the mall alone, and while she was hanging around a guy came up to her to ask for her number. They chatted for a while; he was quite attractive and seemed to be a fairly interesting person to talk to. When she arrived home, he sent her a message, and they started chatting. They talked and talked for nearly the whole night through, and by 9 am when the time came to go to school, Helen realised that she was head over heels in love. When she finally saw him again, Helen felt her heart beat faster, and it became hard to breathe. Her love’s name was Joe, and he was 19. For Alice, it was pretty thrilling that he was so much older than she was, and yet his attention had fallen on her – and her alone. While they were drinking their coffee, Helen couldn’t take her eyes off him, while he seemed very interested in her life, asking lots of questions. At the end of their date he gave her a slight kiss. Gosh, Helen was now simply the happiest girl in the universe! She took a selfie with him so that she had material proof it wasn’t a dream.

The next day, Helen simply couldn’t keep these developments to herself. She went to school and revealed everything to her friends, showing them the selfie. They smiled in disbelief and asked if she was certain Joe wasn’t too old for her. She snorted – female envy is just so pathetic. Meanwhile, he kept texting her all the time. When she was in her classes and couldn’t respond straight away, he wrote her angry messages if she took too long. Oh, that’s so cute, she thought, he cares so much! When she arrived home, Helen boasted to her mom that she had found a boyfriend, and told her about him. Her mother frowned, looked at the selfie and frowned even more. “I disapprove”, she said, “he’s too old for you, and you’re going to have problems with him.” Helen ignored her, and her mom didn’t press the issue – she had always given her plenty of freedom.

And so Helen’s romance began without anyone’s approval, but that was just fine by her – because she had a new boyfriend called Joe who was genuinely interested in her. He kept messaging her and they met nearly every day. Unfortunately however, he refused to meet her friends, and told her that he didn’t want Helen to meet his. She agreed, because she thought that keeping their relationship half-secret was oh so romantic. Sometimes, he got a bit pushy with her. Apart from the fact that she was supposed to respond to his messages at once, he always forced Helen to meet him anytime he wanted – even if it wasn’t convenient for her. It happened pretty often, and she was starting to get a bit nervous about it. And she also didn’t like the way that sometimes when he gave her a lift home in the evening, he would get a little handsy. But she was so in love with him that she accepted it, even though didn’t feel comfortable about it.

But one day her eyes were opened. They were supposed to meet at 6 pm near the mall, but Helen arrived a little early. She saw Joe chatting happily with some other guys. She felt glad that he would have to finally introduce them to her and she would become his official girlfriend. As she walked over to them, Joe still hadn’t noticed her, and then she heard what he was saying. “You know, I got that 15-year-old idiot who is madly in love with me and she’s sure I’m her soulmate! She’s ready to do anything I want! You know what I mean?” – and they were all roaring with laughter. Helen froze. It was as if someone had punched her hard in the stomach. Her first thought was to leave, but then frustration and anger boiled up in her. She walked towards them and, facing Joe, told him he was a pathetic moron. She said: “You think you’re cool for taking advantage of a nice shy girl? At least I’ve been sincere all the time! And now look at how cool you are with a 15-year-old idiot shouting at you in front of everyone!” and with that, she left with her dignity intact. The last thing she saw was Joe’s face full of embarrassment and the amused expressions of his friends. Helen hoped he would remember that moment for a very long time.

Helen came home in tears and ran straight to her mom for support. She was a wise woman and told her she’d get over it, but also said she hoped Helen would learn her lesson. And indeed she did, and it proved to be a useful one for all the relationships that would come after. From that moment on, she was more attentive to what her partner really represented, and what her friends and family thought about him.

★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Gina. Do you think it’s possible for a person to love you TOO MUCH? Well, this is EXACTLY what happened to her! She first saw Brad at school, and he was such a handsome boy with the prettiest smile she had ever seen. Every day, she would sit there hoping he would notice her, and then finally, it happened! He came over to her and asked if she was free that evening, and it was the happiest moment of her life. They went to the movies, and then for a walk in a park, and it was super romantic. Not long afterwards, they started to date, and the first few weeks were perfect – they saw each other every day, and he always told her how beautiful she was, and when they weren’t together he texted her all the time, telling her how much he loved and missed her. It was so sweet. But sometimes Gina was busy with school or seeing her friends, and during that time he would text her non-stop. One day she was doing her homework, and when she finished, she looked at her phone, and there were HUNDREDS of texts and missed calls. The first ones were like, “I love you” “I miss you,” but then it turned into things like “are you alright?” “where are you?” “why don’t you answer me?” She called Brad and said, “I’m sorry for not answering, I was busy with my homework.” He said “okay, but call me next time because I was worried.” It was quite sweet the first time, but then it happened again, and again. Each time when she wasn’t able to answer him right away, even if it was during a lesson, he started to panic. One time he even knocked on a classroom door and asked the teacher if she could come out. It was sooo embarrassing! Brad always wanted to be with Gina – like, ALL the time. He was visibly upset if she decided to spend some time with her friends instead of him. Honestly, it was kind of a turn off at this point; it’s hard to like a boy who doesn't give you any space. She told her friends about it, and they thought she was selfish because he clearly just loved her so much. Of course, they didn’t. They only got worse. He would wait for Gina to come out of class after each lesson and insisted on them always being together. At this point, even her friends realized that something was wrong. When she told him that she wanted to spend some time apart from him, he got mad and said “you don’t love me anymore!” She had to prove him wrong, so the only time she could be without him was when she was at home, and even then he still texted her constantly. The last straw for Gina was when she was talking to a boy named Johnny, a classmate, about the project they were doing together for school, and Brad came up to them, looked Johnny right in the eyes and said to him, “stop talking to her, she’s mine!” She tried to explain to Brad that he should calm down, that Johnny was just a classmate, but he wouldn’t listen and was trying to act all manly and “protect” her. Johnny got up and left, muttering “weirdo.” Gina was so embarrassed, and she said to Brad, “this is not okay, you behave like a stalker, can you please just stop!?” But he just answered: “I do it because I love you!” She didn’t know why Brad acted the way he did, but she no longer saw him as this cool, confident boy she had thought she knew before – her feelings towards him had changed. So later that day she said that she didn’t want to date him anymore. He begged her to reconsider and said he was sorry like a hundred times, and when she said “no” he got angry and implied that she liked Johnny, and that was why she was dumping him. Ugh! He texted her every day for two weeks, saying how much he missed her, and she explained over and over to him that she didn’t want to date anymore. For a few days he was silent, and she thought he must have moved on, but then… He called her and said “can you please look out your window?” She did, and saw a bunch of lit candles spelling out “I love you”. It was so awkward! She went outside and tried to explain him that he was a great guy, but she didn’t like this insane level of control. He was so upset, like he was holding back tears, and she felt so sorry for him. He said that she was his first girlfriend and he felt scared of losing her, and that’s why he acted the way he did, and he didn’t see what was happening until his older brother pointed it out to him. He asked if they could start again and promised that it would be better this time. Gina wanted to say “yes”, but she couldn’t, so she politely declined. And she felt so bad about it, like she was a bad person for refusing, but something inside of her said that all of it would just happen again. Gina thinks that a person shouldn’t be in a relationship if he or she is not comfortable in it, even if you feel sorry for someone. Brad is not a bad person, but he should have dealt with his insecurities before starting a relationship. Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com

Story By Layla | Subscribe our channel: https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Layla. When she tells people that she’s lived in a haunted house, the most common reaction she encounters is “Wow, cool”. Well, guys, she’s here to tell you why she wouldn’t call the experience “cool” at all. Layla has a friend, Sarah. They’ve been together since early childhood; they studied at school together, and after school they went to the same university. The thing is, the university was in another city and they had to move there before the semester started. They didn’t want to move in to the dormitory, so they looked for a small two-bedroom apartment. There was always something that wasn’t right with the apartments they were offered, and soon they became pretty desperate. Then all of a sudden they came across this house – a two-storey old house almost in the center of the city, but in a quiet district. And what was even more attractive was that its price was negligible. Layla and Sarah couldn’t believe how lucky they were. When they were moving in, they were greeted by nice people – their neighbours. One of them, smiling, gave them a strange look and asked if there were any special reason why they had chosen the house. They laughed in a silly way and thought nothing of it. Looking back on it, Layla thinks they should really have asked for an explanation, but at the time they couldn’t wait to move in and just thanked him for the warm welcome. The entrance to the house was in a spot that wasn’t visible from the main road. When they went up to the stairs, they saw a nice old woman with a paper bag in her hands. “Hello girls! My name is Ms. Hopkins. I want to welcome you to our neighborhood. I’ve brought you my famous apple pie for lunch. I guess you’re far away from your parents and haven’t had time to cook yet”. They thanked her cordially, and since they were going in themselves, they decided to invite her in for a coffee. But when they turned back to her, she was already gone. Well, they had a lot to do and decided that they would ask the neighbors about where she lived later on. So, they were independent for the first time in their lives. They were ecstatic. The only thing that irritated them a bit was that they didn’t manage to get a good night’s sleep, but they decided it was the result of first semester nerves. On the bright side, a couple of times a week they would find a new package with a pie inside from Ms. Hopkins on the doorstep. Soon, they were becoming a bit too busy to think much about Ms. Hopkins. Meanwhile, their sleep problems were becoming pretty overwhelming. Often, Layla would wake up in the middle of the night covered in a cold sweat after having a nightmare. When she went to the kitchen to get herself a glass of water, she would find Sarah there with black circles under her eyes, looking close to tears. This sounds like something trivial, but you try not getting a good night’s sleep for a couple of months and you would struggle too. What’s worse was that they were starting to hallucinate because of sleep deprivation. Sometimes, one of them would go into an empty room and pick up the scent of someone’s perfume. Layla often felt a cold draught even when all the windows were closed. Once when Layla was in the bathroom, she saw the handle of the locked door move slightly, as if someone was trying to open it. She yelled “Sarah, I’m in here!” and...then she heard Sarah’s voice from downstairs: “What did you say?” Layla felt goose bumps march across her body. If Sarah was there, who was trying to open the door? It took her half an hour to come out of the bathroom, with pure terror in her eyes. They decided that it was time to look for a new home, above all because they still couldn’t sleep there, and the lack of sleep added to their anxiety when they noticed those small things happening inside the house. In the morning, she and Sarah went to the neighbour who had greeted them on the first day with the strange question to get some answers. Layla asked him straightaway: “Where can we meet Ms. Hopkins?” He looked at them with a strange expression, and answered “There’s no one called Ms. Hopkins in the neighbourhood. Why do you ask?” They were shocked. “But we met her the first day we came!” “You must be mistaken. Ms. Hopkins used to live in your house, but she died several years ago after getting sick. She was famous for her baking, by the way.” Absolutely speechless, Layla and Sarah emerged from the neighbor’s house and walked slowly towards their own. As they were going up the stairs, they saw another paper package with an item from Ms. Hopkins’s bakery. Layla was so horrified that she could hardly take those couple of steps towards it. There was a handwritten note with it that said “Girls, come visit me some time”. At that point, they rushed into the house and packed their things in a total panic. It took them three minutes to pack everything they needed.

My Friends Were With Me For My Money
My Friends Were With Me For My Money

by ACTUALLY HAP...

★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Britney. She’s a lucky person – she comes from a very wealthy family. But she’s not here to boast. Unfortunately, everyone has their problems, and hers are no less significant than anyone else’s. Her biggest problem is finding friends, and this is the reason why. Britney doesn’t think that she’s arrogant, or a snob, or whatever it is that people think about kids from rich families. Her dad is a very simple person, a self-made-man, and he wants his children to work their own way through life too. That doesn’t mean that they have strict limitations on using money – his belief is that they need to invest their time and effort in studying, and should work like everyone else who is not as lucky as they are. That’s why they have always lived a pretty simple life – not in some mansion, but in an ordinary house. Their dad also insisted that they go to an ordinary school, not some fancy private one. When Britney was a child, she didn’t even notice the difference between herself and other children. They all shared the same studies and hobbies. She’s a very sociable person, so she didn’t have problems finding friends. But when she became a teenager and went to high school, she noticed that things had changed. Everyone was divided into groups and ranks – it was not just one big group of children anymore. She didn’t like the idea of classifying people, but you have to adapt in order to enjoy life. Since she is quite easy-going, she ended up in the “celeb” group. This wasn’t her goal, of course, but she was at a new school and she just wanted to make friends. They came to her and proposed that she hang out with them – why would she say no? They seemed like really nice people. They chatted a lot about designer clothes and gadgets, and all the other things that are trendy nowadays. This was when she found out that they had somehow already learned about who she was and what family she was from – and Britney began to have doubts. She’s not a fool, and she understands that sometimes people can be guided by self-interest when choosing friends. She started watching her new friends attentively. Her dad had taught her that you should always check people out before trusting them, even if she had never been in a situation where she’d been right to mistrust people before. But everything seemed okay. It was quite a large group of people – there were eight of them – and they all had different backgrounds. They were regular people with different personalities – that’s ok then, she thought. They spent a lot of time together, and met outside school as well, and as time passed she didn’t notice any particular interest in her family’s wealth. When things started changing, she didn’t even notice at first. From time to time when they went out, one or two of her friends asked her to pay for their movie tickets or a coffee, and promised to give back the money. They never gave it back, and she thought it was a bit petty to remind them. Then...their ‘appetites’ started growing. Sometimes they asked her to pay for a round of bowling or a coffee for everyone. She didn’t think it was fair, but they were her friends and she thought it was shameful to quarrel over money. Britney became irritated by the situation, and started thinking: “What if they made friends with me only because of my money? What if they don’t even really like me?” At some point, thinking these kinds of thoughts over again and again leads you to paranoia. She wanted to check if they really liked just her money or her. She already had trust issues, and thought that it would be better to be alone than with friends like that. So one day she met up with them and pretended to be all sad, saying that they had financial problems at home – that her dad had lost his business and that he had cut her pocket money drastically. She saw them exchange glances but they didn’t say anything. Everything continued as normal and she had already begun to calm down, but when they decided to go to the cinema, she asked someone to pay for her. “I’m broke”, she said, “sorry guys, I’ll give it back as soon as I can”. They exchanged glances again. Then one of her supposed friends said: “Look, we’re not as rich as you are and we can’t sponsor you, sorry. Maybe it’d be better if you go another time”. That was it. Now she knew! How could she even think that someone could be disinterested in her family’s money! She was staring at their backs as they were walking away feeling so disappointed, and she didn’t notice that Lea was still standing by her side. She asked if Britney needed help. “Do you need to talk? I understand it can be hard”. She offered to pay for her as they went to get a coffee. She thanked Lea from the bottom of her heart, because she had restored her faith in people. They’ve been best friends ever since, and she never went back to the ‘celeb’ group.

I Tried To Burn Several People To Impress A Girl
I Tried To Burn Several People To Impress A Girl

by ACTUALLY HAP...

Hi! My name is Tim, and this is a story about how I wanted to impress a girl so much, I almost burned a house down. With people in it. This is not like me at all, and I can’t even believe this happened. It basically all started with a lie. Even before it all began, I fell in love with a girl from my school who was one grade older. Her name is Olivia and for weeks already I’ve been trying to talk to her. I’ve been hanging around at lunch breaks, hoping there would be a chance to start a ""natural"" conversation. For a very long time, nothing happened, and I was too shy to just talk to her. But then on one of those lunch breaks, I overheard Oliva’s conversation with her classmate. They were talking about a group of older guys, who are actually pretty famous at our school. I’ll call them The Crew. It’s hard to say what’s so special about them, maybe it’s… everything? In a dictionary, the word ‘awesome’ is probably illustrated with their photos. They are 3 guys and 2 girls that always hang out together, and they are an electronic band that plays shows not only at our school, but also at venues around town. They all look 25, and are ""cool"" and popular and they've never ever bullied anyone – more than that, if they see that someone is being bullied, they go out of their way to protect them. But apart from that, they hang out separately and don't really talk to anyone else. So Olivia was relatively new to our school and she was telling her friend that she’d really like to get to know these guys somehow, but that she didn’t know how. I was with my friend Jim at a table right next to her (I’m not a stalker… I don't think…), and I have no idea what I was thinking… but I felt like this was my chance. I turned to her table, apologized for overhearing the conversation, and said that I knew the guys from the crew pretty well, and that I could introduce her if she wanted. And that was a huge and shameless lie. I guess I kinda blacked out and just… said it. “Awesome!” she said, ""Why don’t we do that now?” This was when I panicked. I did not know what to do... I was trying to buy some time and LUCKILY after a couple of minutes the group stood up and left. She did not see it and I was like: “Oh no, they already left… Well, maybe some other time then.” I did not care when that “other time” would be. Our contact had been established. I guess I was hoping she’d forget my promise, but couldn’t forget the fact that we were now acquainted. I know, I know, there’s zero logic in it, but like… that happens when you talk to your crush for the first time. I guess most of us go through this at some point. In the evening, it got even better. Or even worse, I'm still not sure. She DMed me on Instagram. Yeah... she found my account, followed it, and DMed me to remind me about the promise. We texted each other for an hour or so and I felt like the happiest person on Earth. But as it often happens, in the morning that feeling was gone, and it had been replaced by fear. The moment I woke up, I realized that now I really had to introduce her to people that I did not know. And there was no way out of it. I started thinking of ways to get to know the crew “naturally.” But as you have probably already guessed, I’m not too good at stuff like that. In addition, younger guys and girls are trying to hang out with them all the time, like sit down at their table at lunch, but they just look ridiculous. I definitely needed help, so I decided to ask my friend Jim, who I've already mentioned. He’s basically the only person I can trust at school, so I didn’t have much of a choice. I’d be happy to say that the crazy idea you are about to hear was his, but I’m afraid it was mine. And he agreed with it, so I’m not the only one accountable, right? Anyway, here’s what we decided to do. Jim knew where the garage where they were playing music was located. It was not a garage by a house, just a set of garages and warehouses on the outskirts of town. They would come there to practice every Thursday and Saturday. So, the idea was to bring a little bit of gasoline and to set the garage on fire… just a little bit. Like… to create an illusion that it was on fire, and then for me to save them like a hero from ""the fire,"" and get to know them like this. Naturally. The best ice-breaker ever. God, it all sounds even dumber than I thought. Jim was with me to help. And we decided to do this on a Saturday, when the crew was supposed to be at the garage. And that’s what happened: I poured some gasoline on the wall right beside the garage door, I lit a match, and… New 2019 animated stories that actually happened! ★ DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR STORY ANIMATED? When I was 17, I started dating Paul. He was 18, he was a great guy, and I liked him very much. It was always so much fun hanging out with him and after a short time, I thought I already loved him. There was only one problem. My Mom. She is a very beautiful woman and looks 10 or 20 years younger than she is. So at first everything was great with Paul, but then I introduced him to my Mother. And he... looked at her really weirdly. I felt like he saw my Mom as a more beautiful version of me. For the entire evening Paul was chatting and laughing with my Mom, and she was just enjoying his company. I kinda felt left out of the conversation. They didn’t even look at me! After this Paul mentioned how awesome my Mom was several times. And I started to get paranoid - does my boyfriend really like my MOM? Could this be real? I decided to forget about it, after all, Paul was a nice guy and maybe he just genuinely wanted my Mom to like him for my sake. But EVERY TIME they met, stuff like this happened again. They would talk for a long time, and when I hinted that maybe it was time for us to go and do something without mom, Paul was completely oblivious to it. One time, we had planned to watch a movie one evening at home and Paul decided to invite my Mom to watch it with us. So I was sitting there, watching them talking and laughing, stuffing my face with popcorn. After this, I decided to keep them away from each other. I tried to go out with Paul as much as possible, and if he asked about going to my place, I would always come up with an excuse - like I didn’t want to go, or there was something cool happening in the city. One time I even said that my Mom was sick, and Paul was like “oh, is she alright? Maybe we should buy something for her, maybe she needs some medicine? Every time something like this happened, I wanted to talk with him about it, but HOW could I talk about a topic like this? “Hey, boyfriend, are you, by any chance, in love with my mother?” After a while he stopped talking about her and I thought that was it. But then my Mom “pleasantly” surprised me - she bought us all tickets to another city for a few days. She explained that they were really cheap and she didn’t want to lose this opportunity. All the way there, Paul and Mom started talking again and I tried to convince myself that it was fine, after all, I was also a part of the conversation. When we arrived it was awesome - we were staying in an awesome hotel and our sightseeing tour was amazing. I even had some time to spend alone with Paul when my Mom went to see her friend for a few hours. We ate some ice cream and took a romantic walk in the park, and by that point, I had stopped worrying completely. I thought that, yes, I WAS just paranoid. But this didn't last, and I finally realized that I was right all along. I was so tired this one evening, so I ended up sleeping for like 10 or 11 hours. When I woke up, there was no trace of Paul or my Mom! I looked around everywhere, trying to find either of them - I thought that they might even be in the hotel cafeteria, but no. I called Paul and he didn’t answer. Then I called my Mom and asked where they were. Mom said “Oh, we decided to not interrupt your sleep and we went into the city by ourselves! We'll be back in an hour and then you can join us.” WHAT!? I was boiling with anger, especially because it was such a weird situation to be in. I was in a very bad mood for the remainder of our trip and I didn’t talk much. Paul and Mom were asking me if I felt sick or if something had happened, but I said no. When they planned to go into the city again, I said that I didn’t want to go and that I'd rather just rest in the hotel. I hoped that Paul, or at least my mom, would realize what was happening, but they were happy to leave without me. After we got back, I finally decided to get everything straight. One evening, when Paul and I were hanging out, I finally found the courage to ask him about it in a very straightforward manner - “Paul, do you like my Mom?” He was like “What do you mean?” and I just stared at him, because he knew exactly what I meant. He was scratching his neck and looking in other directions, like he was very uncomfortable about this conversation. After a while he said, “No, of course not, she’s your mom, I’m just trying to be nice.” I explained how uncomfortable and weird I felt every time he would pay so much attention to her and not to me, and he apologized, so I decided to give him another chance. My Parents Raised Us In Different Ways
My Parents Raised Us In Different Ways

by ACTUALLY HAP...

★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This girl’s name is Christine, and she has a super-enraging story to tell. The thing is, her parents are a bit traditional about bringing up girls, and her story is about how she had a hard time battling against this. Christine lives together with her parents and her older brother Ed. He’s just a couple of years older than her, and now they’re both teenagers. Her parents are very nice towards both of them, but this niceness doesn’t come out in the same way with her and as it does towards Ed. Both her parents have a traditional approach to family values – a man is the head of the family, the breadwinner, and the woman is supposed to obey him. It’s not as horrible as it sounds. She respect the choices her parents have made in life. But unfortunately, it became a big problem for her when it comes to how they raised their children. Ed and Christine certainly don’t hate each other. He’s a very good, caring brother and she loves him a lot. But she also envies him a great deal. The point is, since her early childhood her parents have always been strict towards Christine. She was supposed to have a well-scheduled day – diligent studies, domestic chores, a couple of hours with some approved girl, playing dolls under her parents’ watchful eye, and home no later than 7pm. It all sounds ok until you compare this routine with Ed’s, who could do whatever he liked with whoever he liked at any time of the day! She actually couldn’t understand what the drastic difference was between her and Ed – ok, he’s a boy and is a couple of years older, but they basically had the same needs – to relax, to chill, sometimes to disobey. However, life wasn’t that simple. Take housework for example. Ed could have a rest whenever he liked, whereas Christine was supposed to do domestic chores every day even if she was tired or not in the mood. When Ed ate something, mom called her to wash his dishes. “Excuse me, why can’t he do it, these are HIS dishes?” Her mom would respond: “He’s a boy and doesn’t need to do anything at home, it’s our duty.” WHAAAAT? Christine already knew about the idea of social equality, and Ed didn’t actually object to washing his dishes on his own, but her mom insisted. What was she supposed to do? There are of course many other cases where she has proof of a different understanding of what boys and girls could and couldn’t do. Ed had lots of friends – male, female, and… well, he lived the normal life of a teenager without any limitations. He could come home whenever he wanted and their dad just asked how the evening had been. That is why Christine grew up with a very strong sense of justice and equality. She doesn’t want to complain too much about her parents – they are very affectionate towards her and she can trust them with her life. However, the thing she knows best is that for her, it’s crucial not to support the same values they have passed onto her – even if she feels sad for saying so. While she was growing up, she felt like she lived in a cage that didn’t grow together along with her. That’s why, one day, she decided to push the boundaries. But Christine didn’t want to oppose her parents directly. They’re good caring people and didn’t deserve a rebellion. She had a different idea. As a junior in high school, she decided that she would study a lot and get involved in a lot of extracurricular activities, especially those dealing with human rights and social integration. Why? Because she felt that her ambition in life would be to enter law school and become a civil and human rights advocate! Her parents had other ideas. They thought she would go to some college in their home town and then maybe become a teacher of some humanities subject. They felt it was the right thing to do for a girl who wanted to have a calm and happy life. You should have seen their faces when she informed them that she was going to apply for a university in a big city and if everything went right, she would be leaving them to study something that was, to their mind, completely unladylike! It was a tragedy for them. But what should she have done? She had grown up and was now an ambitious young woman. If she had had a different character, she would probably have been a submissive and obedient daughter, but Christine is not ready to give up her principles because her parents see things differently. It has been a heavy blow for her parents. They didn’t think she would be that determined to achieve her goal. She’s now doing lots of volunteering in social centers and she can see that they disapprove. But her brother Ed gives her lots of support, and she’s grateful to him for that. However, she knows that her parents will one day see after all that they can be proud of her for her determination, and in some way it is to their credit they have raised her to be the person she is now. My Phone Got Stolen To Post Things I Didnt Want Being Posted

by ACTUALLY HAP...

SUBSCRIBE ACTUALLY HAPPENED: https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Trish. We all love our phones, but sometimes they can completely ruin our lives. This is what almost happened to her. Trish was always busy with a lot of things at once - like school projects, learning a musical instrument, and many other things besides. She's proud of how active she is, but it has its downsides as well - quite often, Trish would forget stuff because her mind was constantly focusing on multiple things; she'd always be either day-dreaming or planning. This is the reason why this whole story came to be in the first place. It was a regular day at school, but then Trish remembered she had a doctor’s appointment. She rushed from school to make it in time. And then she realized that she had forgotten her phone! She couldn’t go back, so she just thought that someone would probably find it and would give it to a teacher or something. After visiting the doctor, she went to her guitar lesson. By this point, she had completely forgotten about her phone - and that was a huge mistake. When she got home, she found out that something terrible had happened while she was away. Someone had taken her phone and posted horrible things about other people from her social media accounts. It's worth repeating that for emphasis - these were really HORRIBLE things. Like, insulting posts about people from her school, their personal information, and even their secrets. Secrets she didn’t even know about! Trish quickly deleted all the posts and changed her passwords, but it was too late. The damage was done. She just couldn’t understand why anyone would do something like that to her. It’s not like she had enemies. She now felt horrible, like she was cornered in an aquarium full of sharks. It was painful to even think about what was going to happen the next day. She tried to sleep, but she didn’t have much success. She slept for barely two hours when her alarm rang. She had to get up and go to school. Things were even worse than she had imagined. As Trish walked down the corridor, people stared at her. She could feel their eyes on her. The only way to describe this feeling was that it was like she was getting smaller while everyone else suddenly got much bigger. One or two people even shouted something at her, and she couldn’t even respond properly. As the day went on, nobody talked to her, and well, she just couldn’t make herself talk to them either. At the end of the day, she found her phone in her bag. The person who stole it had put it back at some point. Maybe she should have felt better, but she didn’t. It just made things worse. When she got home, Trish burst into tears. She cried until she felt exhausted, and then she felt a bit better. She started to think about the situation as a whole, and how to deal with it. She thought that maybe she would be able to find the person who had done this to her. Before deleting the posts, she'd taken screenshots of some of them, just in case - she wasn't really sure why. But it turned out to be the right decision in the long run. She started to look through them, trying to analyze the writing style. If someone had put her phone back in her bag, it meant that it was one of her classmates, because she hadn't really left the classroom during the day - she'd been trying to hide from the other kids staring at her. She noticed that the person who'd done it had used a very peculiar emoji, one that nobody else used very often. It was one of the girls from her class, Katie. It was weird because she was a very quiet and nice girl who would never even look at the person she was talking to. She decided to confront Katie the next day in the morning, and ask why she did it. So, the time came, and after their first lesson, Trish approached her and asked her if she'd done it. Her eyes widened, she couldn’t say anything for a few seconds, and then she muttered “sorry.” Just saying “sorry” wasn’t enough, so Trish continued to ask her questions. Katie just looked at her shoes, not saying anything, and then started to sob. She told Trish that she had problems at home and wanted to take her anger and disappointment out on someone else, and that she was sorry she did it and that Trish didn’t deserve it. Trish asked her to tell the teacher and the other kids. Katie was hesitant at first, but then agreed. Several months have passed since that happened, and you'll be surprised to learn that Trish is now friends with Katie. She revealed the truth to everyone, and people hated her for it, but although Trish felt angry, she also understood that Katie was crying out for help in her own perverse way. She told Trish what was happening at home, and well, she shouldn’t reveal it here, but it wasn’t good. She felt alone, just like Trish did during those terrible few days.
