2nd India Open G1 International Taekwondo Championship 2019
11-16 June, Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, Telangana State, INDIA
We have seen a lot fights at the international platform where the players have displayed exceptional 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁.
A similar example of 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 was witnessed by everyone yesterday at the 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 U-58Kgs between 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 (Pune) Vs 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗶 (Delhi). Shivam Shetty is a student of 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗸𝘂𝗹 from Pune.
In the first 30 seconds of the 1st round Shivam Shetty's Right hand Palm took a high intensity Dollyo hit and his last 2 fingers cracked. Shetty instantly realized it was a fracture due to sharp pain.
He neither displayed the misery in his Facial expressions nor let his performance drop even a percent. His attitude was apparent - He was determined to gift this 𝗚𝟭 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 🏅 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 to his Guru.
Shetty won the Final match. He did the friendly handshake with Tyagi with the same cracked hand., did a Humble Bow to the opponent's coach and lay his head on his Guru's feet in extreme gratitude, which the world witnessed. The Master hugged him and Shivam Shetty whispered in his ears, Master my fingers have cracked. Master Pravin Sonkul immediately rushed him to the hospital where Surgery has been advised. Shivam Shetty is right now undergoing surgery on his hand.
Thank you Masters ! For instilling 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 in the students character that they truly become a 𝗛𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 (Flowering Knights). These Gems radiate light of positivity to all of us.
We Wish him speedy recovery.
