[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Sehrawat and defence dazzle, as Bengaluru Bulls register third straight win

Pawan Sehrawat and Rohit Kumar combined to scored 20 raid points in their team’s 47-26 win over Telugu Titans.

Bengaluru Bulls’ defence scored 6 Super Tackles in the team’s 21-point Southern Derby victory in VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7

A sensational all-round display from Pawan ‘Hi-Flyer’ Sehrawat and an assured performance from the defence helped Bengaluru Bulls beat Telugu Titans 47-26 at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna on Thursday and complete a hat-trick of wins. With this victory, Bengaluru Bulls climbed to third place in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 standings, just a point behind league-leaders Dabang Delhi K.C.

Pawan Sehrawat scored 17 points against Telugu Titans in Match 31.

The star raiders on both teams were off to a fine start, with Rohit Kumar and Sehrawat combining to score their team’s first three points, while Siddharth ‘Baahubali’ Desai answered with a couple of his own for Telugu Titans. Desai’s two-point raid in the third minute of the match left Bengaluru Bulls with just two men on the mat, but a brilliant Super Tackle from Sehrawat followed by a successful raid helped his team regain momentum.

Sehrawat added a couple of more points to his tally, which reduced Telugu Titans down to just three men on the mat, but they Super-Tackled Rohit Kumar to cut their deficit down to two. A couple of two-point raids in succession by Sehrawat and Rohit helped Bengaluru Bulls inflict the game’s first All-Out and give themselves a nine-point cushion.
Telugu Titans responded strongly as Armaan scored the first Super Raid of the night, but three straight successful raids by Bengaluru Bulls negated the effect of that effort and teams headed into the half-time break with Bengaluru Bulls leading 21-14.

Bengaluru Bulls’ defence managed six Super Tackles against Telugu Titans.

Telugu Titans’ defence started the second half by pinning down Rohit Kumar, but what followed was a run of four successive points for Bengaluru Bulls that left Telugu Titans with just a solitary man on the mat. Bengaluru Bulls’ defence made no mistake in tackling the raider and inflicting a second All-Out on Telugu Titans.

Telugu Titans then reduced their opponents to just three on the mat through a few quick raids. But a Super Tackle by Mahender Singh followed by a two-point raid from Sehrawat put Bengaluru Bulls up by 14.

Telugu Titans managed to reduce Bengaluru Bulls down to just three men yet again, but a spell of four Super Tackles in four minutes by Bengaluru Bulls’ defence not only kept the All-Out at bay but also increased their team’s lead to 20 with under three minutes left in the contest. Mahender wrapped up his stellar performance by scoring his seventh tackle point of the night right before the final whistle, which confirmed a third straight win for Bengaluru Bulls.

[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Iceman’s successful buzzer raid helps Tamil Thalaivas tie with U.P. Yoddha U.P. Yoddha and Tamil Thalaivas were involved in a see-saw encounter that ended in a 28-28 tie at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna on Wednesday. Ajay ‘Iceman’ Thakur lived up to his name and scored in the crucial buzzer raid to help his side tie the match. The contest began with Tamil Thalaivas getting on the scoreboard first, but U.P. Yoddha didn’t have to wait for too long for their opening point either. Both teams looked to stay within touching distance of each other and were tied at 3-3 after the first five minutes. U.P. Yoddha then went on to assume control of the match soon after courtesy of a few successful raids by Shrikant Jadhav and Monu Goyat as well as a couple of successful tackles. U.P. Yoddha’s charge resulted in the first All-Out of the match on Tamil Thalaivas and gave them a 10-5 lead over the southerners. Tamil Thalaivas fought back and chipped away at U.P. Yoddha’s lead thanks to robust tackles from Manjeet Chhillar and swift raids from Rahul ‘Showman’ Chaudhari. That said, U.P. Yoddha’s defence also held firm and ensured that they kept their five-point lead intact as they went into the break with a 16-11 lead. The second half got underway with Thakur turning on the style. The Tamil Thalaivas captain scored three raid points from his first two raids of the half to reduce U.P. Yoddha’s lead to 16-15. However, U.P. Yoddha weren’t prepared to succumb to an All-Out without a fight despite having less players on the mat. They defended in resolute fashion and made it difficult for Tamil Thalaivas to enforce the decisive All-Out. Successive Super Tackles, in fact, opened up a 23-17 lead for U.P. Yoddha at one stage. However, a successful two-point raid by Shabeer Bapu and another Manjeet tackle finally inflicted the All-Out on U.P. Yoddha and tied the score at 23-23 with a little over eight minutes to play. U.P. Yoddha responded with successful raids from Rishank Devadiga and Monu, but Tamil Thalaivas weren’t prepared to allow them to reestablish their lead. Successful raids by Chaudhari and Bappu cancelled out the raid points from their counterparts and set up a nervy finish with the score tied at 26-26 with three minutes left in the game. In the end, neither team could emerge victorious after Thakur picked up a touch point on the buzzer raid as both teams shared the spoils. Top Performers: U.P. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Pawan Sehrawat and Nandal star as Bengaluru Bulls win on opening night in Chennai ‘Hi-Flyer’ Pawan Sehrawat scored his fifth Super 10 while Saurabh Nandal scored his second High 5 of the season in their team’s win. A fifth Super 10 of the season from ‘Hi-Flyer’ Pawan Sehrawat and a second career High 5 from Saurabh Nandal helped Bengaluru Bullscurb their two-match losing streak and beat Tamil Thalaivas by a scoreline of 32-21 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. Sehrawat was off to an unbelievable start as he scored a point in all but two of his first seven raid attempts. The Bengaluru Bulls defence, too, starved Tamil Thalaivas’ offence for points and tackled Ajay Thakur and Shabeer Bappu as the visitors raced off to a 7-0 start. The last man on the mat for Tamil Thalaivas, Manjeet Chhillar, went in to raid and picked up a bonus to get his team off the mark, but he too was tackled as the reigning champions inflicted an All-Out in just under seven minutes. The home side fared much better after reassembling on the mat and outscored Bengaluru Bulls 5-2 over the next five minutes to cut their deficit to seven. Shabeer’s two-point raid and Thakur’s touch point on Nandal got the momentum on Tamil Thalaivas’ side. But three unanswered points from Bengaluru Bulls put them back up by eight points. Tamil Thalaivas added two more points to their score while allowing the visitors just one as the teams headed into the half-time break with Bengaluru Bulls leading 17-10. After a cagey seven minutes in the second period, V Ajith Kumar’s touch point, followed by a Ran Singh tackle on Rohit Kumar, saw Tamil Thalaivas cut the deficit down to just four points. Thakur and Mohit Chhillar then added two more points to their team’s score to reduce Bengaluru Bulls down to just two. But the Season 6 champions responded with a Super Tackle followed by a two-point raid by Ankit, which extended their lead back up to six. Nandal’s tackle on Ajith Kumar not only gave him his High 5 but also reduced Tamil Thalaivas down to three men on the mat. Two more raid points from Sehrawat and a self-out from Ran Singh helped Bengaluru Bulls inflict an All-Out and take an 11-point lead. Both teams added a couple of points to their score over the final three minutes of the contest as Bengaluru Bulls emerged victors by 11 points. Pro Kabaddi 2019 Highlights | U Mumba vs Patna Pirates | Hindi M43

[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Baliyan’s buzzer raid heroics powers U Mumba past Patna Pirates Patna Pirates outscored U Mumba in the second half, but U Mumba held on for a thrilling 34-30 win. A spectacular Super Raid by Rohit Baliyan on the buzzer ensured a 34-30 win for U Mumba against Patna Pirates at the EKA Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad on Friday. Patna Pirates forged a strong comeback in the second half, but U Mumba’s raiders did just enough to secure the win. Neither side took too long to get on the scoreboard, and it looked like Patna Pirates were on course to inflict an All-Out on U Mumba early on. However, a Super Tackle by U Mumba tied the score at 5-5 and gave them some impetus. The Maharashtra-based outfit then moved into the lead and began to build more momentum with Patna Pirates’ defence finding it difficult to contain U Mumba’s raiders. After seven unanswered points by U Mumba, the three-time champions finally scored a raid point through Vikas Jaglan to halt some of the opposition’s momentum. Having said that, U Mumba were still very much on top with their raiders continuing to find success against Patna Pirates’ defence. U Mumba eventually enforced the first All-Out of the match on Patna Pirates after a successful two-point raid by Athul MS was followed up with a crunching tackle. They led 17-9 after the All-Out and extended their lead further before half-time to take a 22-9 lead into the break. With just three men on the mat at the restart for Patna Pirates, U Mumba looked to drive home their advantage. The three-time champions though picked up the first points of the half courtesy of a Super Tackle on Arjun Deshwal. They followed up the Super Tackle with a two-point raid by Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou to cut U Mumba’s lead to 22-13. U Mumba, meanwhile, had to wait till the fourth minute for their first point of the half. However, Patna Pirates’ defenders had upped their game and continued to deny the opposition raiders any easy points, while Jang Kun Lee and Pardeep ‘Record-Breaker’ Narwal began finding success against U Mumba’s defence. Patna Pirates eventually enforced an All-Out with 10 minutes left in the half and reduced U Mumba’s lead to 26-21. The final 10 minutes of the contest saw both sides trade blows with the game going down to the wire. Patna Pirates kept up with U Mumba in terms of scoring thanks to successful raids by Lee, Pardeep and Maghsoudlou. U Mumba’s lead was reduced to just two points at 29-27 with a little under two minutes left on the clock. However, consecutive successful raids by Baliyan as well as a Super Raid by him with just one point to protect before the final whistle, gave U Mumba a four-point victory. Top Performers: U Mumba – Best Raider – Rohit Baliyan (9 Raid Points) Best Defender – Sandeep Narwal (3 Tackle Points) Patna Pirates – Best Raider – Pardeep Narwal (6 Raid Points) Best Defender – Hadi Oshtorak (3 Tackle Points) #VIVOProKabaddi #PKLhighlights #PKL2019 #IsseToughKuchNahi http://www.khelnow.com http://www.khelnowtv.com
