Are you ready to hear a shocking story? Well, I'm about to tell you one. Although, you might just simply laugh at me when I finish… So, my name is Maxine, I'm seventeen, and I'm going to the college in my hometown after graduation: no need to move far away from home, furthermore, my father is a professor there. My father plays a very important part in my story. And I love him very much, regardless of everything that happened. That’s why I want you to get to know him better. He is a handsome man in his early forties. With an excellent sense of humor and a very sweet disposition. Five years ago he and my mother got divorced. More often, children stay with their mother after their parents split, but not in my case. My mother had a serious problem with alcohol, which started almost right after I was born. My father tried to fight her habit for more than ten years… for my sake, I guess. But when I grew up I told him that it would probably be better if we lived together, just the two of us. The rest was simple. So it goes. Many people think that divorce is something bad. I don’t know. I watched it all happen and it seemed to me that my father was breathing freely for the first time in my life! Of course, a couple of years later his friends and I started to jokingly tease him that he needed to find a girlfriend. But he would just smile and laugh it off, replying that he had all he needed in his life. And you know, it did seem like it! His life was always full and interesting. He likes to go to the theater, he never misses a good art exhibition, and he snowboards. In addition to all that, he spends a lot of time with me and we enjoy hanging out together a lot. But I don't like to snowboard or ski, so usually he'd go to the mountains alone. And approximately one year ago he met John on a ski slope. Despite the fact that John was about fifteen years younger than my father and he was not in any way connected to teaching (he was a web designer), they quickly became good friends - joined at the hip, as they say. And I understood why about five minutes after I met John! They were so much alike – both in their looks and their personalities, with their habit of finding a way to turn everything into a joke, and the fact that they never get down. I liked John a lot. And I enjoyed the fact that he began to visit us very often. We had a huge house anyway, where there was enough room for everybody so it never caused any inconvenience. On the contrary actually, it was much more lively when John was around. A few months passed and I could not imagine our life without John. He loved theater almost as much my father and I did, he helped me with my Spanish, he helped my father with his library research, he played with our dog, who seemed to simply adore him. And you know, I was nothing but happy when my father told me, in his usual joking manner, that John visited us so often that it would be better and smarter if he just moved in and lived with us, instead of paying somebody else for an apartment somewhere else. And that was the story of how John moved in with us. And to see him at home, with all of us creating a small crowd in the kitchen while cooking breakfast, teasing each other, arguing about who's next to go food-shopping… and finally just going together… I have no idea at what exact moment I fell in love with him. I told you, I'm seventeen. And all of this had nothing to do with a little-girl-falling-in-love-with-Daddy’s-old-man-friend nonsense. Well, at least I didn’t think so. Anyway, I couldn’t find any reason why John and I couldn't be together. We got along really well and he was so much like my father, who was, in turn, an ideal of a man for me… and John was ALREADY like a part of our family. There was only one problem – I could not figure out how he felt about me. He told me nice and flattering things pretty often, he never avoided my company… but that was all. So I decided that he must be very well-mannered and therefore just didn't know how to behave in any other way with the young daughter of his best friend. And for me, it really only added more points to his charismatic personality. So nothing held me back from dreaming that if he liked me too, I could have a chance to marry the best man in the world! So there was just one little thing that remained, to work up the courage and clear things up. Well, fortune favors the brave! I couldn’t have picked a better moment! My dad was gone for two days with his students and John and I were left alone... Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com #actuallyhappened

My Children Abandoned Me After I Sacrificed My Life For Them

❀ Thank you for your constant support and engagement! We have received many stories and are working on animating them! ❀ A PROFESSIONAL Voice Actor will record your story! We do everything to keep your identity private, unless you wish differently! Hello, I’m Abby, a mother of two. My story began when I got divorced and had to raise my boys on my own. That was really hard. I mean, have you ever felt completely alone in this world? I had no help, no extra money, and not enough sleep of course. I had two jobs to simply buy food and clothes for Bruce and Dylan. But that’s not the main point in my story. You can think “What on earth can be worse than that?”. But, well, the children I sacrificed everything for… ended up abandoning me. Time went by and my sons grew up. Oh, we had really hard days but imagine how proud I was to call those smart handsome guys my sons. They did well at school, always helped me around the house and got on well with each other. What else could I want? But we had kind of close connection only till one day. That day Bruce and Dylan left home to get education. I knew it would happen one day but just think a bit, how can one get ready for such a moment? I got used to them always being around. Like, you know, you spend 24 hours at work and don’t see your children but that’s enough to know they are still not far from you. I don’t think both of my sons understood how much I missed them. They started sort of brand-new lives. They lived in a new city and met new friends. I felt really lonely. Do you know that feeling when you hold your phone close all day not to miss some important call? Aw, I was that person who was always waiting for one. But my boys called me too rarely. I tried to soothe myself thinking something like “They must have had a hard day” or “Maybe they’re getting ready for a test”. I was afraid to face the truth. Things got even worse when Dylan and Bruce graduated from universities. They had always been smart and I knew they would build up fantastic careers but that was too much. Would you approve of your children always moving from one big city to another? We didn’t see each other for a long time, sometimes I got postcards for my birthday. Not even a telephone call but just a postcard, can you imagine? I was crazy about that! The only thing calming me down was the fact they had girlfriends. You see, every woman hopes her kids would find their perfect match one day, a soul mate, so to say. I was looking forward to eventually meet the GFs, but I was completely surprised to find out that Sarah and Betty were not as excited to meet me. Everything I experienced before was just the beginning. The boys told me they would come in advance. Uhh, how nervous I was. I worked as a waitress in a nice cafe in our town so I decided it would be great to have dinner in the cafe and show the place I work at. If I only knew everything would go so much wrong...First of all, my sons’ girlfriends wore gorgeous dresses and I felt like “Ok, that’s not Oscar Academy Awards, that’s just a quiet cafe in a small town” but they seemed to look down on me for I was not all dolled up.

This is gonna be a story of my first love which is now a taboo subject in my family. Everything started a few months ago and it seems like I'm going to be disappointed, shocked, and frustrated for the rest of my life. I feel like I still love the guy and I deeply hate myself for it. Jackson moved to our town six months ago. He was born here actually, but when his mom died in a car accident many years ago, Jackson’s dad decided to get a fresh start in another city. They traveled through almost the whole country, when his dad’s job finally brought them back down here again. Anyway, soon afterward, he started going to our school and we became friends, but then we both agreed that we were attracted to each other in a romantic sense and decided to begin dating. Jackson’s cool, you know. He rides a motorcycle and looks really mysterious and wise. I mean, there was hardly any chance of me not falling in love with him. Once he had the idea to go their family’s lake house and spend the whole weekend there. We had not been dating for that long yet, and my parents actually had no idea that he had a motorcycle, otherwise they wouldn’t even let me talk to him, you know. That’s why I lied to them and told them that I was going to spend the weekend at my friend Angelica’s country house. I didn’t feel great about having lied to my parents. And I had a bit of an unpleasant feeling inside, even though I was pretty excited about spending two days with my love. That unpleasant and worrisome feeling began growing soon after Jackson and I set out for our top-secret trip. At first, we got a flat tire; then, while Jackson was trying to fix it, a huge truck passed by and sloshed us with water and mud. I thought that this had to be enough trouble for one day, but as they say, bad things come in threes, so when we finally arrived at the lake house, dirty and exhausted, it turned out that Jackson had taken the wrong set of keys. We had nothing to do but to break into the house, obviously damaging the lock. A couple of hours later when we had finally changed our clothes and ate our dinner, Jackson and I were sitting next to the fireplace looking through an old family album. He was telling me about his mom, showing me her photos, and I felt like even though he could barely remember her, he missed her a lot. Suddenly we came across a picture of Jackson’s young mom sitting next to… my young mom! I was so surprised that I even screamed. Jackson, on the other hand, didn't recognize the woman next to his mom, but when I told him who she actually was, he turned pale. We rushed to look through the rest of the photos and found another interesting picture. Even though this photo had been taken many years ago when I probably wasn’t even born yet, I could bet I knew that man. Even though he didn’t have a mustache and his hair was long, I was pretty sure this was my mom’s brother – my uncle Henry. Of course, I told Jackson this and he was no less surprised and confused than I was. We couldn’t wait until the morning to go back home and ask our parents about everything, so we just decided to return immediately that night. Jackson’s dad was out of town, so I had to be the first one to begin the investigation. Of course, I had to confess to my parents that I had lied to them. Because it was already 1 A.M. when I returned home, while they weren't expecting me until the next evening. Dad was already sleeping and the talk with my mom wasn’t nice at all. She didn’t want to hear any explanation for why I had lied to her and how come I’d even dared to date a guy with a motorcycle, so she’d severely grounded me for that. And when I showed her the pictures of these photos on my cell phone and explained everything to her, she looked like she had just seen a ghost. She yelled at me, and told me that I was no longer allowed to see Jackson and that he’d better stay out of our family. I was devastated and I didn’t understand anything. At first I thought that my mom didn’t mean it, about me not seeing Jackson at all, and that she was just disappointed in my lies. But the next day she literally wouldn’t let me out of the house, constantly asking me to do something for her. Then, when the week started and I had to go to school, I wasn’t really expecting that mom would ask dad to come and pick me after my classes. So I basically had no chance to hang out with Jackson and I was totally confused because nobody would explain anything to me. By the way, Jackson managed to ask his dad about these photos, but the information he’d gotten explained nothing. Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com #actuallyhappened

My name is Tim and here`s my story. Actually, I think it`s pretty funny. Ok. So from the moment we moved into our new house, we waged a war with our neighbors. I don't think it will ever end. And, actually, I hope it never ends! `Cause it makes me really happy! It`s not a real war, we are just messing around with each other. Our neighbors are actually our best friends. Their son – Mike is my classmate and our parents have been friends since high school, and used to always make fun of each other. And now our pranks have reached a whole new level, and we participate in them with our whole family. For example, recently I bought a fake hand at a joke shop. We smeared it in ketchup, and threw it to the neighbor's dog. Imagine how they screamed when the dog brought it into their house! Of course, the next day they responded with another prank. We were watching a movie in the living room, and suddenly firecrackers began to shoot loudly from the fireplace. We were terrified, and we ran out from the house in a panic. And then we saw Mike and his parents laughing at us. Of course it was a joke. Somehow, they dropped firecrackers into our chimney with the help of a drone. Can you imagine? Awesome! Usually after these jokes we have a picnic or a party, where we can relax and have fun. This gives us the opportunity to feel like one big family. But a few days ago, the jokes crossed the line, and it stopped being funny. One evening we were sitting at home, having dinner. And suddenly we were interrupted by the loud sound of breaking glass, and then a big stone fell next to our table. We all froze for a second. Dad rushed to the window to see who could've thrown this. But it seems that the villain managed to escape or hide. I saw that the stone was wrapped in paper, so I picked it up and unfolded this "gift." There was a note on it. It said "I'm tired of your stupid jokes. One more, and you'll regret it." But this didn't make any sense! We didn't do anything worth breaking a window for! It was not funny! We took the stone and went to the neighbors. But when we asked why they did it, they denied it, and said they didn't do anything. Of course we didn't believe them. We had become accustomed to their pranks, and always suspected a trick. So at that moment, we thought, "Okay, you asked for it." And dad and I started thinking about a revenge plan. But we didn't even have time to do anything. `Cause the next morning, Mike`s father came to our house and started arguing with my dad. As it turns out, someone punctured the tires on his car, and he thought it was my dad. But he didn`t do it, so he became angry too! They began to argue, and it almost came to a fight. They both thought it was just a joke that had gone too far. It was the first time that I had seen them have a fight in my life. They were best friends, and then were somehow willing to almost come to blows with each other. The only thing I could think was that that`s not right, and that I had to figure out how to fix it. I decided to talk to Mike at school. He stood his ground and said his father was innocent. And so did I. Okay, but then who had done all of this? To get our dads back on speaking terms, we had to find the real culprit. So we decided to install a couple of cameras, in case this joker wanted to do another prank. You won't believe it, but the cameras came in handy the very next day. It was an ordinary morning and my dad was getting ready to go to work. But as soon as he crossed the threshold, we heard a rumbling and screams. Then we heard dad cursing. We quickly ran out to the porch, and saw that dad had fallen through the boards. This was getting crazy! He could have broken something. Our neighbors also heard the noise, and came out to see what had happened. And when dad saw them, he got really angry. He got on his feet, and started running toward them, shouting and threatening them. We could barely calm him down, and we told him that whoever did this, had definitely gotten caught on camera. And here it was - the moment of truth. We turned on the tape, and around 4 a. m. we saw a man on our porch. He was fumbling with a screwdriver. Finally, he got up and we recognized him immediately - it was a man from the house on the other side of the street. It looks like he had unscrewed the screws that held the boards together on the porch. So when dad came out, he fell through them. And thank God dad didn't hurt himself. Okay, so we found out the identity of this wicked prankster. The only thing left to do was to punish him for everything. And we were going to do it in our own way. So we came up with a whole plan... My name is Chris. Today I have finally decided to tell you this story. You all probably used to play in a treehouse or a fort when you were a kid. Little did I know that one day I would find something that would turn the lives of everyone I love upside down, in my treehouse. My parents have always been very decent people, so the purpose of their life was to raise worthy and well-mannered children. Sadly for them, it didn't work with me. I have always been a wild child. I was neither a good student nor a right-minded young man. Unlike my older sister Molly. She would do everything to please our mom and dad. Her reputation at school was spotless. Looks and smarts! But everybody's got a skeleton in their closet. This all happened when my sister was in her last year of school. It was such a big moment for our family – so many plans and expectations. My sister seemed to be really happy and excited, but I saw that there was something wrong with her. First , I noticed that she stopped eating in the mornings and even mom's pancakes, which were her favorite, could not tempt her to eat a bite. She looked tired and exhausted all the time. When I asked her what was going on, she told me she was studying hard day and night to try to get into college. And I found that answer to be reasonable and comforting, but there was still something else. One night, I heard her talking with her boyfriend Tim. And as far as I could hear, it was not a pleasant conversation. And for the record, I was the only person who knew my sister actually had a boyfriend. This secret was shared with me in the strictest confidence from our parents. When I asked her what had happened, she just said: ""He is not my type."" Not her type? They've been madly in love with each other for such a long time! I just didn't get it! But then it got worse. Molly became so irritable and any little thing would just set her off. We didn't go for walks or watch movies at night anymore, though we have always been really honest and close to each other. Now she would rather spend her time in bed with a huge plate of sandwiches. It looked like my sister had gotten depressed. Really depressed. I was totally convinced that Tim was to blame. Did he offend her or treat her badly? Whatever happened between those two, I had to figure it all out. I got in touch with Tim and he agreed to meet me. To my surprise I found him lost and heartbroken. He had no idea why Molly had booted him all of a sudden and he hoped I was going to give him some kind of an explanation. So I was left with the suspense killing me even more. Then one day my sister came up to me and said: "We have to talk." First we were walking silently, but then she asked: "Do you remember the treehouse we used to play in when we were little? I wonder if it's still there." Of course, I remembered. We easily found it and got inside. It was still the same. We had a lot of happy memories in that place. I was so happy to see my sister smiling again, when she suddenly said: "I'm not going to go to college, Chris. Don't tell mom and dad. And please don't be sad when I leave." These words just left me completely speechless. What on Earth could force my sister to make that decision?! Why and where did she want to go? No matter how I tried to get the truth out of her she refused to tell me. Molly's words tortured me all night, and it didn't take her long to turn them into reality. The next day she didn't come back from school on time. When my mom called her, we heard the phone ring from her room. We went upstairs to see that her room was a complete mess. The closet was almost empty and my sister's phone was sitting on the night stand and ringing. Our father called Molly's teacher and it turned out that she hadn't even been to school that day. My parents were absolutely shocked and discouraged. They immediately asked me if I knew anything about it. I couldn't bottle it up inside myself anymore and told them the whole story right away. Mom almost fainted. She never had the slightest idea that anything was wrong with her little girl. She wanted to call the police at once, but my dad was more reasonable. He didn't want to spoil my sister's reputation, so we decided to start looking for her ourselves first. I called Tim and all of Molly's friends, but nobody knew where she was. Mom was on the phone all day long and dad was driving around the neighborhood. It was already getting dark, but Molly never showed up. I was in despair. The thought that I would never see my sister again was killing me. So I was just wandering around when I found myself not far from our treehouse. ★ DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR STORY ANIMATED? SEND IT TO [email protected] IT WILL BE GIVEN A VOICE OVER BY A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR AND AN ANIMATOR WILL MAKE A VIDEO OUT OF IT! ★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j Hi, I’m Lucy, and I’ve created an anonymous blog where I reveal the secrets of people from my school. I just wanted revenge on the girls that huffed me, but it quickly got out of control… Let's start with a little bit of background: I was 15, wearing braces, and had HORRIBLE acne on my face. Not a big deal, right? Yeah, right, but the older, popular girls were CONSTANTLY mocking me for it. They would even laugh at me when I passed by them in school, and it hurt because they were pretty and everyone liked them. I told my older sister, Ashley, what was going on. We went to the same school and she said not to worry, because those girls had awkward secrets and they only made those jokes because they were insecure. She told me all about them – one of them once made a very awkward video of herself covering a song, and it was so disastrous that she eventually deleted it, but some people (including my sister) still had it in their “possession. It was pretty awkward, but not super bad. But another girl, on the other hand…turned out to be CONSTANLY lying about herself. Like, she would say her hair was naturally red, but it wasn’t true, and she would say that her parents were rich but they weren’t, and she would tell all of these crazy stories about her life, while in reality she was living a very ordinary life. Once she even came up with a story that some man assaulted her but she ran away, and she was describing it in detail, but it was 100% made up. My sister was also watching this pretty old show called “Gossip Girl” where a girl creates an anonymous blog where she revealed rumors and horrible truths about the other characters. So, naturally, I came up with a plan. I created an anonymous blog where I made several posts about those girls. I would write them in a very snarky and sarcastic manner. I even found that infamous video of the girl singing. I shared it in our school Facebook group, and the results were GLORIOUS. It turned out that a lot of people disliked these girls because they were so full of themselves, and it was really awesome to see how everyone reacted. Now, everyone was giggling and whispering about those girls and not about me. And the girls... they were extremely angry about it. Basically, I felt like a hero. The right thing to do was to abandon this blog right away, but… I wanted MORE. Besides, other students started texting me different secrets about people. So I kept on doing this blog, posting stuff about people who deserved to be exposed. And then I would walk through school like a queen, although nobody knew it was me. But soon... I started to post almost anything "juicy," even about people who clearly didn’t deserve to be exposed or talked about in school. And the popularity of my blog rose, so it was affecting people more than when I began. Most of it was innocent enough, but sometimes I exposed secret relationships some people had, and those posts were by far the most popular, but it often damaged the reputations of some good people. I wasn’t a hero anymore, I was a villain! And the consequences finally came. I got a message, "I know who you are.“ It was terrifying. I started to look around, trying to find someone who was looking at me... a little differently. I was extremely paranoid and was sure that a lot people were looking at me... weirdly. Besides, teachers finally found out about my blog. I even decided to make a post about myself to remove any suspicions around me, but I couldn’t do it in time, because something else happened... Later that evening, when I was at home, someone threw a stone through our window and broke it. My Dad and Mom were mad, thinking some vandals did it. But I knew that wasn’t true. And my sister also realized what was happening. She came to my room and asked if I was the gossip girl and if it was someone "getting revenge." I knew that I couldn’t lie, so I said "yes." Ashley said that I should immediately stop doing this blog and confess to my parents. I promised that I would stop doing the blog, but I didn’t want to tell my parents, but she said that if I wouldn’t confess myself, she would do it instead. So I caved in and told my parents everything... They were mad and grounded me, limiting my access to the internet. And with that I thought that it was finally over, but it wasn’t... A week after I ended my "career,“ my classmate Joe came up to me with a smile and said, "I’m glad you stopped doing this.“ I was shocked! I asked how he knew, he giggled and said, "I didn’t, I was watching you and you kinda changed right after this blog started. I wrote you a message to see how you would react, and you completely changed after you received it.“ Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com #actuallyhappened

I’m Patrice but my friends call me Patty. I’ve always had a dream to become popular, you know. Like a real superstar or something, so that everybody would see me and whisper “Hey, that’s the girl...” and stuff. I’ve been working so hard for my dream come true for the last year and it did come true… sort of. Everything started when I saw the first bloggers on the internet. I was amazed by their lives and their abilities, like financially I mean. For me, it seemed to be the easiest way to success and fame, so I’d decided to become a blogger myself. However, I faced my first problem as soon as I started, because I didn’t know how to blog. I would just post pretty much everything. It was like “Here I am going to school” or “Hey! Look at my lunch today” and so on. Of course, I had some followers, about 500 people I guess, but they were either my friends and family members, or some advertising accounts, so it didn’t satisfy me much. I even tried once to devote my blog to my hamster Polly, but she seemed to be a totally unsocial animal and that idea failed. Once I was sitting at home and looking through my blog page and all the posts on it. I could feel how pathetic my blogging efforts were because my photos were far from being like those I’d seen on my favorite blogger’s pages, and my texts were definitely not a philosopher’s thoughts. I had almost decided to give up my idea when I suddenly realized that somebody somehow showed up in almost every photo and video of mine that was taken at my place, except for me, of course. It was my creepy neighbor Alan who lived across the street from me. He had recently moved to the neighborhood with his parents and he was totally weird. He wore the same long sleeve shirt whenever I saw him in real life. Nobody talked to him at school, as far as I knew. Some people even thought that he had some mental and psychiatric disorders. Of course, he seemed to suddenly get caught by my camera’s lens, either appearing from around the corner or staring from his garden at me while I was taking a selfie in my own garden, but I felt strange about it. I shared my thoughts about probably being stalked by a local weirdo and that was it. My followers seemed to want to share my page with their friends or something, because I got a couple of hundred more subscribers that following week. Of course, the majority of my fans, so to speak, were from our town, but it didn’t matter – my fame had found me. Once two girls had even come up to me at the local mall to say hi and they said they knew me because of my weird neighbor. I kept posting my regular photos but this time it had turned into a quest for my followers to find a stranger in them in the comments. This excitement over me being famous lasted, for me, no more than two weeks, when I suddenly realized that my neighbor Alan had been actually stalking me. And this time, everything was done on purpose. I will give you an example. Once, I was in the kitchen trying to cook dinner when I noticed that Alan was staring at me from his window. I would think that this was a coincidence, but when I went to my bedroom and looked out the window, I once again saw him in his attic window still looking straight at me. I got a little scared and worried, but tried to calm myself down, thinking that my eyes were just playing tricks on me. And you know what? I couldn’t sleep well because of all that stuff. I had really bad nightmares that somebody was watching me, like 100 percent of the time and I had even woken up in a cold sweat a couple of times. This almost drove me completely nuts, so I decided to go and talk to this strange guy and ask him why he was stalking me. I thought he’d deny that fact, but he didn’t even try to. He told me that he noticed me trying to film every step of my life on camera, he'd gotten interested in it, and just wondered why I would want do this. But then he came across my blog page on the internet, saw my post about him, and had gotten offended. After that, he started to follow me on purpose as a sort of revenge. I don’t know why but I became really angry and started to shout at him that he had no right to do that, because he scared me a lot. Then I fired a warning shot saying that if he doesn’t stop doing what he’s been doing, I’d call the police. I turned away from him and set off for home when I heard him say that he didn’t see the difference between letting people follow you online or in real life. I entered my house so furiously, that even my mom, who was in the kitchen, noticed how nervous I was. I didn’t want to tell her the whole story so I just said that I hated that creepy guy who lives across the street from us... Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com #actuallyhappened
