When you think of your favourite animated characters, you'll no doubt have certain looks, certain voices and, obviously, certain names in mind - and you probably think everyone on the planet sees and hears those characters in exactly the same way.

But that's not actually the case at all - far from it, as a matter of fact.

Given the nature of animated characters, it's fairly simple to alter them for different audiences - and special effects wizards around the world take advantage of that fact in order to cater to different demographics.

Characters in the likes of Cars, Planes, Moana and the Shrek series have all been customised to suit certain countries better - and in this video, we'll be taking you through eighteen such examples.

The characters in question include the likes of; the news anchor from Zootopia (2016), the heroine of Planes (2013), Minty Zaki and Dr. Brad Scott from Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Harv from Cars (2006), Jeff Gorvette from Cars 2 (2011), the hockey team from Inside Out (2015), the titular character Moana from Moana (2016), and Doris the Ugly Stepsister and the Red Carpet Announcer from Shrek 2 (2004).

You'll just have to watch the video to find out what aspects of these characters were changed, as well as which other characters were altered in different countries - you might be surprised at some of the inclusions!

We hope you enjoy the video! Please leave a comment letting us know what you thought about it. And don't forget to subscribe to Screen Rant's YouTube channel, so you never miss our great new video uploads in the future.

Pixar movie theories that change everything! Subscribe to ScreenRant: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant Since the creation of Reddit, fans have had the opportunity to discuss their own personal theories on films to no end and with total reckless abandon. While some of them are totally outlandish and borderline absurd, there are actually some that hold weight. We have curated a list of our twenty five favourite Pixar theories that we believe might actually be true. We’ll be looking at conspiracy theorist Jon Negroni theory that suggests that every single Pixar movie is interconnected starting with Pixar’s very first movie Toy Story and up until now. Negroni explains how in Brave animals took on human characteristics when the queen turns into a bear, and over the course of time animal intelligence grew and they were able to walk, talk and dress themselves. In addition, we’ll be covering which characters are related (spoiler, it has to two with a man who only wears loin clothes and two chilling sisters) as well as what lies beneath the hood of the characters in Cars. We’ll discuss how powerful emotions and memories are in the Pixar universe and dive into some darker theories that suggest some characters are not what they seem. Ever wonder where the monsters in monsters inc came from? Or why Andy’s dad in Toy Story is never around? All your questions will be answered in our video and you’ll leave with your mind fully blown. Kick back, relax, and join us on this journey as we sift through the best Pixar theories out there. Animated Scenes That Make Kids Feel Awkward Around Parents COMPILATION

Disney, Pixar and other Animated Movies That Make Kids Feel Awkward Around Parents including Despicable Me, Cars, and Frozen! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6   Animated kid films are a treat for the whole family more often than not. Combining clever humor, amazing characters and beautiful worlds, animation has the power to truly transport its viewers to another place in the most vibrant and creative way possible. Since it’s main demographic is children, many studios and animators slip in some crude humor or adult content in the films that will go under the radar of the young ones. But what happens when the penny drops and kids start getting the jokes? Such innocent films like Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, Tangled, Inside Out and even cult favorites like Atlantis: The Lost Empire start to look a whole less innocent. Whether it’s some “romantic” humor that’s a bit more grown up, to flaunting it anyway you can, these films have some moments that are sure to make kids feel a little awkward once they understand what the animators REALLY meant. From Incredibles references to a somebody named Tom who has a peeping problem to Zooptopia’ Judy referencing a bunny’s ability to multiply quickly, these films definitely had their moments that jacked up the awkward level once kids grew to get it. Perhaps even some parents shared in the awkwardness once they were faced with some unexpected questions at the dinner table. Leave it to the animators to have the last laugh! 25 Times SpongeBob Logic Made No Sense
25 Times SpongeBob Logic Made No Sense

There are so many things about SpongeBob that make absolutely no sense! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant The SpongeBob Squarepants TV show has been around for a long time. It first aired in May of 1999. That’s a massive twenty years of Bikini Bottom content! Since the show arrived, it’s captured the hearts and minds of children and adults alike. Children can see a reflection of themselves within the characters of SpongeBob and Patrick. Yet as they get older, they’ll find themselves agreeing with Squidward more and more! With a show about creatures beneath the sea, there are bound to be some logic problems. Whether it’s the laws of physics, nature or continuity, SpongeBob has many, many logic problems. In today’s video, we’re going to share a load of them with you! You’re welcome! Cartoons are well known for taking liberties when it comes to boring things like “natural law”. However, SpongeBob is particularly well known for doing so. Many parents have been confused as they’re forced to watch the show with their kids. Logic problems like SpongeBob’s inconsistent strength, the weather under the sea, Mister Krabs’ Krabby Patty vault, and impossible tasks being carried out whilst wearing a helmet. SpongeBob is a great fry cook. He would have to be to work at the Krabby Patty for nearly twenty years! His boss, Mister Krabs, is well known for his love-slash-obsession for money. Which makes it strange that he would waste money in this way. Within the Krusty Krab, there’s a huge vault filled with Krabby Patties! Many more issues arise due to the show being under water. How is there fire? How are swimming pools called “empty”? These and many similar entries have confused our noggins. So, join us today as we bring you a whole video of these bizarre, mind-boggling problems! Disney Characters That Looked Better After Wreck It Ralph 2 And Ones Who Looked Worse
Disney Characters That Looked Better After Wreck It Ralph 2 And Ones Who Looked Worse

by TheBinger

Wreck It Ralph gave some of our favorite characters makeovers, and not all of them were good! Subscribe: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-TheBinger Adapting a character into a new medium is tricky. Just look at the live-action Lion King as an example. That film is getting a lot of flack for its redesign, but Wreck-It Ralph 2 redid a lot of iconic characters too! Every single Disney Princess was adapted for the animated world of the internet. Characters that were stuck in 2-D animation found new life in the 3-dimensional space. Sometimes the new looks paid off big time. However, other times, the creative liberties taken by the animators failed to work. The Binger wants to examine those triumphs and mishaps a little closer. There’s a ton of Disney cameos in this film, but we think we’ve found the best ones to spotlight. Well, by best we mean worst and best. They’re both included here. It’s about to get extremely critical in the latest video from The Binger. You don’t want to miss this list!

22 Deleted Pokemon Scenes That Never Made It To America
22 Deleted Pokemon Scenes That Never Made It To America

These deleted Pokemon scenes were only aired in Japan! Subscribe to our channel for more awesome videos: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant Pokemon caused a huge sensation when it crossed the seas from Japan to America, and has never slowed down since! From cards to games to movies and TV series, Pokemon has cemented itself as one of the most beloved cartoon franchises of all time. But sometimes, the version we see here in North America is actually really different from the Japanese original. With scenes that are cut, characters who are changed, and costumes that are adjusted, nothing got past the censors and American networks! Things like a couple of inflatable balloons in a bikini in the episode Beauty and the Beach that was left on the editing room floor, or an adjusted scene featuring Meowth, Cyndaquil, and a life-saving Miltank! There was a creepy moment between the Kangaskhan Kid and Misty that didn’t make it to air, a few inches of skirt that were added to a character in the Gold and Silver game, the episode The Legend of Dratini had a ton of guns being pointed at kids so that changed, a match replaced with a birthday candle for some weird reason, the unsettling design of the original Grimer card that had to be changed before it could be released, and some seriously messed up moments relating to World War II that were understandably uncomfortable. In the episode Critical Situation! Bakuong Vs Juptile, a wine glass was changed as to not encourage drinking, and an episode called Tower of Terror was taken off air completely after a national tragedy. All these moments and so many more are in the video below, so take a look! 10 Dark Theories About Dead Disney Characters
10 Dark Theories About Dead Disney Characters

by Screen Rant

10 Dark Theories About Dead Disney Characters! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6 There’s no denying Disney movies have a lot of death involved in them. Not only do villains like Scar die, but a number of other characters meet terrible fates as well. Because the company tries to maintain a family-friendly rating, sometimes these deaths are a little more vague than the others. Naturally, fans speculate, come up with theories, and put all types of clues together based off their favorite Disney animation. In Frozen, we meet Sven when he’s just a baby, likely indicating his mother is dead. The truth about Sven’s mother is closer than most think and Kristoff may be involved. Bambi’s mother dies from a mysterious hunter in the classic animated movie, but the fatal shot may have been blown by a villain from Beauty and the Beast. Sully and the other creatures in Monsters Inc. were afraid of humans and for good reason as a Toy Story short once proved. Scar’s death was pretty brutal as they come, but did he suffer the same exact fate as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast? Zira suffered a huge fall in the Lion King 2, but was it a fall or an intention jump? Deleted scenes on the DVD may provide a huge clue to the answer. A small fly dies in the Emperor’s New Groove, but it could have been a human all along. Ariel’s mother’s death was off-screen for several years until some footage revealed a dastardly pirate may have been involved. Watch these deaths and learn about several more to see the dark theories fans have tied to them!
