Pro Kabaddi 2019 Highlights U Mumba Vs Gujarat Fortunegiants M102

by Khel Now TV

[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] U Mumba rise to fourth in the standings after win over Gujarat Fortunegiants Abhishek Singh’s Super 10 helps U Mumba to a 31-25 win over Gujarat Fortunegiants. U Mumba moved to fourth in the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 standings after a 31-25 win over Gujarat Fortunegiants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. Abhishek Singh picked up a Super 10 and Surinder Singh was U Mumba’s most efficient defender with four tackle points. Gujarat Fortunegiants picked up the first couple of points of the match and enjoyed the better of opening exchanges. They had a narrow 5-3 lead after the first five minutes, but U Mumba grew into the game and tied to contest at 5-5 before Gujarat Fortunegiants could build on their lead. U Mumba then got their noses in front going into the last 10 minutes of the half and took control of the contest momentarily by inflicting an All-Out to take a 11-6 lead. However, unfazed and with their confidence still intact, Gujarat Fortunegiants came roaring back into the match and tied things up at 12-12. They went on to enforce an All-Out soon after thanks to a two-point raid by Rohit Gulia that made it 16-14 in favour of his side. The final few minutes of the first period though saw U Mumba score two unanswered points to stick with the ebb-and-flow nature of the encounter and make it 16-16 at halftime. The opening 10 minutes of the second period were similar to the first half with neither team managing to create a big lead at any point as the score remained tied at 20-20 heading into the final quarter of the match. A two-point raid by Abhishek with six minutes left to play, however, gave U Mumba some momentum. A successful tackle by Surinder in the subsequent raid then extended U Mumba’s advantage to three points, while also reducing Gujarat Fortunegiants to three men on court. Back-to-back successful raids by Abhishek shortly after reduced Gujarat Fortunegiants to a sole man and eventually helped U Mumba enforce another All-Out to take a 29-23 lead with a little less than two and a half minutes left on the clock. Gujarat Fortunegiants continued to fight till the end and looked to keep the margin of defeat minimal, while U Mumba aimed at running down the clock. U Mumba eventually registered a six-point win, meaning Gujarat Fortunegiants got a point, while Tamil Thalaivas became the first team to get knocked out of playoff contention this season. Pro Kabaddi 2019 Highlights Patna Pirates Vs UP Yoddha M76

[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Pardeep’s defiant Super 10 goes in vain as U.P. Yoddha down Patna Pirates Pardeep Narwal was the top-scorer of the match with 14 points but U.P. Yoddha’s all-round effort helped them win 41-29. Led by Shrikant Jadhav’s Super 10 and Nitesh Kumar’s High 5, U.P. Yoddha managed to overcome Pardeep Narwal’s 14-point performance to defeat Patna Pirates 41-29 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. Surender Gill was also excellent as a supporting act, scoring 6 raid points and one tackle point for U.P. Yoddha. Jadhav and Gill got off the block straight away for U.P. Yoddha and made short work of the Patna Pirates defence. They were well backed up by Amit and Nitesh Kumar in defence, conceding just two points before inflicting an All-Out a little over seven minutes into the match. ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal scored a two-point raid as soon as Patna Pirates took the mat once again. But Jadhav proved difficult to tackle for Patna Pirates’ defence and managed to keep his team ahead with a two-point raid of his own which sent Jawahar and Vikas Jaglan to the bench. The score difference then rose to nine once Narwal was sent to the bench through Nitesh’s well-timed Ankle Hold and Patna Pirates were on the verge of conceding another All-Out. However, two Super Tackles by Monu and Hadi Oshtorak helped Patna Pirates claw thet way back into the match.  Patna Pirates capitalise on that momentum with a couple of two-point raids, first by Jaglan and then by Narwal, and reduced U.P. Yoddha down to a solitary man going into halftime, with the scoreboard reading 14-16 in U.P. Yoddha's favour. Patna Pirates inflicted the All-Out with their opening raid of the second half to take the lead for the first time in the contest. But Jadhav and Nitesh got to work as soon as U.P. Yoddha reassembled and put their team back in the lead just two raids later. Back-to-back successful raids by Narwal halted U.P. Yoddha’s momentum and reduced them down to two men on the mat. Skipper Nitesh, though, remained defiant and brought up his High 5 with a Super Tackle on Narwal. Gill then put in two successful raids separated by a successful tackle on Jaglan to take U.P. Yoddha ahead and leave only two Patna Pirates players on the mat. Gill inflicted the All-Out on Patna Pirates with a two-point raid to give his team a six-point cushion. Narwal reached High Super 10 soon after and continued to lead the Patna Pirates attack. But Jadhav remained a tough challenge for Patna Pirates’ defenders and he soon brought up his Super 10 through a run of three successful raids to help U.P. Yoddha inflict a second All-Out on Patna Pirates and put the game beyond their reach. Narwal scored another two-point to take his raid point tally on the night to 14, but it was U.P. Yoddha who completed a hat-trick of victories. Top Performers: Patna Pirates – Best Raider – Pardeep Narwal (14 Raid Points) Best Defender – Monu (3 Tackle Points) U.P. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] A defensive shootout ends in tie between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Gujarat Fortunegiants Vishal scored 9 tackle points for the home side while Parvesh Bhainswal scored a High 5 as the match ended in a 28-28 tie. Jaipur Pink Panthers and Gujarat Fortunegiants played out a 28-28 tie in the former’s first home match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. The hard-fought contest was headlined by both defences as 35 tackle points were scored on the night. After an even first quarter where the defenders of both sides showed their might and the scores were tied at 6 apiece, Jaipur Pink Panthers’ skipper Deepak Hooda helped his team race ahead with a two-point raid. Corner Sandeep Dhull then added to his tally by tackling Sonu before Hooda inflicted the first All Out of the match in his next raid to give Jaipur Pink Panthers a 12-6 lead. The Jaipur Pink Panthers defence stayed strong even after that and allowed only Sachin from Gujarat Fortunegiants any raid points while their skipper kept picking up points in attack. At the halftime whistle, the home team led 15-10 after having scored 8 tackle points in the half. Hooda was tackled only once in the entire half and had 4 touch points to his name. Jaipur Pink Panthers started the second period with back-to-back Super tackles, first on Sachin and then Rohit Gulia. The second of those also gave Vishal his High 5. However, once Sachin was revived, he immediately sent Vishal to the bench and that ushered in an All Out on Jaipur Pink Panthers to help the visitors make it a two-point game. The home team managed to hang on to their slender lead through the third quarter, but Gujarat Fortunegiants managed to equalise at 21-21 in the 10th minute through their skipper Sunil Kumar. Sachin then picked up a touch on Dhull and Parvesh Bhainswal sent substitute Ajinkya Pawar to the bench to reduce Jaipur Pink Panthers down to two men on the mat. However, Vishal and Nitin Rawal managed to hold down Gulia after an intense struggle to pull off a Super Tackle before another Super Tackle initiated by Rawal helped his team equalise at 26-26. Bhainswal seemed to have put his team ahead by sending Hooda to the bench in the next raid. But a third Super Tackle in quick succession saw the home team seize the lead yet again. With the last raid of the match remaining, Gujarat Fortunegiants played a high line of defence and tackled down Rawal as the clock ran out with the scores tied at 28-28. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Rampant second-half showing hands U.P. Yoddha a massive win over Tamil Thalaivas U.P. Yoddha outscored Tamil Thalaivas 29-8 in the second half to beat them 42-22 and climb to fourth in the standings. A staggering second-half display that saw them outscore Tamil Thalaivas by 21 points gave U.P. Yoddha a 42-22 victory over Tamil Thalaivas at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. With this victory, U.P. Yoddha climbed above U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls to the fourth spot in the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 standings. Raiders Rahul Chaudhari and V Ajith Kumar gave Tamil Thalaivas the perfect start by helping them build a 6-2 lead inside five minutes and reducing U.P. Yoddha down to just two men. U.P. Yoddha fought back to score three points on the trot, but two touch points from Chaudhari in quick succession left them with just a sole man on the mat and Tamil Thalaivas’ defence made no mistake in pinning the raider down to inflict the game’s first All Out, taking an 11-6 lead. Ajith and Chaudhari continued to add points to their team’s score, but U.P. Yoddha managed to match them point-for-point to ensure that Tamil Thalaivas stay within touching distance on the scoreboard. With the score at 14-9 in Tamil Thalaivas’ favour, U.P. Yoddha raider Shrikant Jadhav went in for the final raid of the half and delivered a four-point Super Raid that not only cut his team’s deficit to one but also reduced Tamil Thalaivas down to a solitary man on the mat. Seconds into the second half, U.P. Yoddha’s defence tackled down Manjeet Chhillar to inflict an All Out and take a 16-15 lead in the contest. With momentum on their side, U.P. Yoddha scored six further unanswered points, split evenly between their raiders and defenders, before Surender Gill got a touch point on Mohit Chhillar that reduced Tamil Thalaivas down to a sole man on that mat yet again. U.P. Yoddha’s defence made short work of Ran Singh to enforce another All Out and extend their lead to 10. U.P. Yoddha continued their rampant run and scored nine of the next 11 points of the contest, inflicting a third All Out in under 13 minutes to take a 17-point lead. Devadiga then scored a point each in two consecutive raids before Sumit tackled Chaudhari to complete his High 5, extending U.P. Yoddha’s lead to 21. Ran Singh and Abishek’s tackle points, split by Ajith’s successful raid in the dying moments of the contest, not only cut the deficit to 19 but also saw the first time in the half where Tamil Thalaivas managed to score three points on the trot. Substitute Gurdeep’s tackle on Ajith in the buzzer raid was the final point scored in the contest, as U.P. Yoddha emerged victorious by a margin of 20 points.   Top Performers: U.P.
