Canyon have been selling bikes direct – and only direct – since 1998. The whole online shopping experience is totally different from heading over to your local bike shop, so we've been interested to tour Canyon's facility and have a look around for a while.

With plenty of stunning bikes, a busy production line, some as-yet--unreleased products, and a couple of special products, we reckon it's safe to say that the Canyon factory is a feast for the eyes...

Shimano 105 Vs Shimano Dura Ace Whats The Difference
Shimano 105 Vs Shimano Dura Ace Whats The Difference

by Global Cycli...

Shimano brought out a new version of its 105 groupset in 2018, but how does it compare to the top of the range Dura-Ace? We’re going to show you, and even attempt a blind riding test! Can we feel the difference when we can’t see it?! Shimano R7000 vs Shimano R9100, let's see if we can tell... In association with Shimano. The entry-level groupsets Shimano offers are Claris with 8 gears at the back, then sora, with 9. This is followed by Tiagra with 10, and then comes 11spd 105 which we have here. Beyond 105 you get Ultegra and then the range-topping Dura-ace which Shimano says is designed to meet the needs of pro cyclists. With each tier of groupset, you see a decrease in weight, an increase in price, and up to 105 an increase in gears. Performance is also improved between bottom and top, but when you look, there are many hallmarks of Dura Ace that appear at much cheaper price points. Now we are going to compare the new 105, with the current Dura-ace mechanical. We are going to ride each groupset blindfolded and myself and Si are going to see if we can guess the difference. Unfortunately, it’s currently raining in the UK, so rather than ride blindfolded outside, we are going to do it on the turbo. Do you ride a Shimano groupset? Let us know what you've got on your bike in the comments section below. 👇 If you enjoyed this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends. 👍 If you'd like to contribute captions and video info in your language, here's the link - https://gcn.eu/14f Watch more on GCN... Have Mavic Nailed Tubeless For Road New Wheels And Tyres

by Global Cycli...

Road Tubeless Tyres have been around for sometime now, but they've not become hugely popular. It seems Mavic may now have the ideal proposition. Subscribe to GCN: http://gcn.eu/SubscribeToGCN Get exclusive GCN gear in the GCN shop! http://gcn.eu/fb What do you think of road tubeless wheels and tyres? Let us know in the comments below 👇 Mavic have just launched 12 new road wheelsets and 2 new tyres. Mavic's tyre/rim combination has a tolerance of 1mm, ensuring that the tyre sits perfectly inside the rim and resulting in an easier to mount tyre. Mavic's huge data collection of measuring wheels/tyres means that they can claim their tubeless system is perfect as due to the products being specifically designed for one another. One of the huge benefits of Tubeless tyres is said to be the resistance to punctures. Ex-Professional cyclist Simon Richardson checks out just how well they seal with the tubeless sealant when riding over a variety different nails/tacks as well as cutting the sidewall of the tyre with a retractable knife. For those of you concerned about weight, Mavic claims that their tubeless setup is approx 40g lighter than the clincher version using an inner tube! Mavic claim that the tubeless setup is 15% less rolling resistance and the 28mm version is the fastest! 5 More Hacks To Make Your Bike Even Faster
5 More Hacks To Make Your Bike Even Faster

by GCN Tech

Recently we gave you 5 completely free hacks to go faster on your bike, and plenty of you got stuck in with comments with more suggestions. Jon thought it best to do a part two, so here are 5 more hacks to go even faster on your bike! Subscribe: http://gcntech.co/subscribetogcntech The GCN Shop: http://gcntech.co/dr GCN Tech Uploader: http://gcntech.co/upload Slam your stem - A controversial one to start with. Getting low is a sure fire way to get some extra speed as you will be capturing less air with your upper body, and if really extreme you could end up looking like a downhill skier. Apparently, you could save up to 10watts in aerodynamic drag if you lower your stem by 20mm, and accordingly reduce the angle of your torso too. But, it’s not all plain sailing as you need to have the strength to be able to ride and hold the position too. And for those of you wanting to slam, any changes should be in very small amounts and over a period of time. Don’t do it all at once as it could lead to injury. Narrower bars - So you’ve slammed your stem and got nice and low at the front end. We’re not done though, oh no! We’re now going to reduce your frontal area, that means getting narrow. Traditionally riders would opt for handlebars that were roughly the same size as their shoulders. However, there's been a bit of a buck to that trend. Over the past 5 years or so we’ve seen more and more professional cyclists going for narrower handlebars, maybe a couple of cms narrower or even to the extreme of Jan-Willem van Schip a dutch rider who is using, wait for it, 32cm wide bars at the hoods. Have you got any other suggestions to make your bike faster? Let us know in the comments. 👇 If you enjoyed this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends. 👍 If you'd like to contribute captions and video info in your language, here's the link - http://gcntech.co/dq Watch more on GCN Tech... 5 Hacks For Free Speed 📹 gcntech.co/freespeed 4kg Hyper-Bike Build 📹 gcntech.co/4kghyperbike Music: Epidemic Sound Smiles - Jones Meadow Photos: © Velo Collection (TDW) / Getty Images & © Bettiniphoto / http://www.bettiniphoto.net/ Brought to you by the world’s biggest cycling channel, the Global Cycling Network (GCN), GCN Tech goes deeper into the bikes, kit and technology stories that matter.
