Top 10 Vedic Mantras 2012
Top 10 Vedic Mantras 2012

Hello people! a lot of you are complaining about the annoying in-stream ads that appear before & during the video, you have to understand since I don't own the copyright of the audio & the vocals used in this video, I don't get anything from those ads nor can I stop them from appearing, sorry! For all those who are interested in Vedas, there are many versions available, you'd find videos on Vedas right here on youtube. I don't know if all the four Vedas with commentaries as per the Nighantu and Nirukta grammar system of Sanskrit are available online. Instead of reading entire Vedas I'll recommend commentaries on Vedas by renowned Indian gurus & authors (free download): https://www.auro-ebooks.com/the-secret-of-the-veda/ I recommend these commentaries on Upanishads (free download): https://www.auro-ebooks.com/upanishads/ Structural profile of Vedic Texts [5 pages]: http://www.esamskriti.com/essay-chapters/Vedas-and-Upanishads~-A-Structural-Profile-1.aspx Remember, Vedas are source of both dualist & non-dualist philosophies so before settling down with any version, we have to keep in mind the school of thought that the commentator follows. Now for ease of understanding the Bhagavad Gita, remember, Ved Vyas presented the teaching of Vedanta as if Consciousness (Brahm) Itself has come as a person and delivered the sermon. Shri Krishna is the personification of Consciousness. One of the best version of Bhagavad Gita is by Adi Shankaracharya: https://archive.org/details/Bhagavad-Gita.with.the.Commentary.of.Sri.Shankaracharya Here's a commentary on selected verses of the Bhagavad Gita by Shri Ramana Maharishi: https://archive.org/details/GitaSahraRamanaMaharshi/page/n0 Also please note there's difference in Advaita of Adi Shankara & Integral Advaitism of Sri Aurobindo. However, I will never recommend the ISKCON version of Bhagavad Gita, sorry. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra and Modern Science https://www.amazon.in/Mind-Self-Patanjalis-Modern-Science-ebook/dp/B01E9NM1UK This book is a must read for anyone who wants to understand different Indian philosophies: http://www.amazon.in/Critical-Survey-Indian-Philosophy/dp/B00FG1KXC8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8 A detailed investigation of the cosmic dimensions of sound & the ancient Vedic science of mantras: https://www.amazon.in/Mantra-Yoga-Primal-Sound-Secrets/dp/8178223813/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1531480225&sr=1-2 Here are some Advaita Vedanta specific books I'd recommend: The Essence of the Ashtavakra Gita http://www.amazon.in/Essence-Ashtavakra-Gita-Ramesh-Balsekar/dp/8188071285 Yoga Vasistha: http://www.amazon.in/Vasisthas-Yoga-Special-Paper-27/dp/0791413640/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 I Am That: Talks With Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj http://www.amazon.in/Am-That-Talks-Nisargadatta-Maharaj/dp/0893860468 Back To The Truth: 5000 Years Of Advaita https://www.amazon.in/Back-Truth-5000-Years-Advaita-ebook/dp/B004GXAZZW?_encoding=UTF8&keywords=Back%20to%20the%20Truth%3A%205000%20years%20of%20Advaita&qid=1487493852&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 Excellent explication of Tantra, its teachings, higher practices and modern distortions, corrects many misconceptions. http://indiafacts.org/demystifying-tantra-relationship-hinduism/
