Raiders Surender Gill (7 points), Shrikant Jadhav (9 points) and Rishank Devadiga (8points) all stepped up for the UP side as they overcame a stiff challenge from the season one champions to jump to fifth place on the points table. Deepak Hooda secured a Super 10 (13 points including a Super Tackle) for the Pink Panthers but the team’s lack of quality raiders was evident once again as they struggled for inspiration in attack.

[Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Pardeep’s defiant Super 10 goes in vain as U.P. Yoddha down Patna Pirates Pardeep Narwal was the top-scorer of the match with 14 points but U.P. Yoddha’s all-round effort helped them win 41-29. Led by Shrikant Jadhav’s Super 10 and Nitesh Kumar’s High 5, U.P. Yoddha managed to overcome Pardeep Narwal’s 14-point performance to defeat Patna Pirates 41-29 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. Surender Gill was also excellent as a supporting act, scoring 6 raid points and one tackle point for U.P. Yoddha. Jadhav and Gill got off the block straight away for U.P. Yoddha and made short work of the Patna Pirates defence. They were well backed up by Amit and Nitesh Kumar in defence, conceding just two points before inflicting an All-Out a little over seven minutes into the match. ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal scored a two-point raid as soon as Patna Pirates took the mat once again. But Jadhav proved difficult to tackle for Patna Pirates’ defence and managed to keep his team ahead with a two-point raid of his own which sent Jawahar and Vikas Jaglan to the bench. The score difference then rose to nine once Narwal was sent to the bench through Nitesh’s well-timed Ankle Hold and Patna Pirates were on the verge of conceding another All-Out. However, two Super Tackles by Monu and Hadi Oshtorak helped Patna Pirates claw thet way back into the match.  Patna Pirates capitalise on that momentum with a couple of two-point raids, first by Jaglan and then by Narwal, and reduced U.P. Yoddha down to a solitary man going into halftime, with the scoreboard reading 14-16 in U.P. Yoddha's favour. Patna Pirates inflicted the All-Out with their opening raid of the second half to take the lead for the first time in the contest. But Jadhav and Nitesh got to work as soon as U.P. Yoddha reassembled and put their team back in the lead just two raids later. Back-to-back successful raids by Narwal halted U.P. Yoddha’s momentum and reduced them down to two men on the mat. Skipper Nitesh, though, remained defiant and brought up his High 5 with a Super Tackle on Narwal. Gill then put in two successful raids separated by a successful tackle on Jaglan to take U.P. Yoddha ahead and leave only two Patna Pirates players on the mat. Gill inflicted the All-Out on Patna Pirates with a two-point raid to give his team a six-point cushion. Narwal reached High Super 10 soon after and continued to lead the Patna Pirates attack. But Jadhav remained a tough challenge for Patna Pirates’ defenders and he soon brought up his Super 10 through a run of three successful raids to help U.P. Yoddha inflict a second All-Out on Patna Pirates and put the game beyond their reach. Narwal scored another two-point to take his raid point tally on the night to 14, but it was U.P. Yoddha who completed a hat-trick of victories. Top Performers: Patna Pirates – Best Raider – Pardeep Narwal (14 Raid Points) Best Defender – Monu (3 Tackle Points) U.P. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Maninder stars as Bengal Warriors beat Jaipur Pink Panthers to qualify for the playoffs Maninder Singh produced a Super 10 display during Bengal Warriors’ 41-40 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers. Bengal Warriors qualified for the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 playoffs after a 41-40 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. Captain Maninder Singh was the star of the show for Bengal Warriors and scored a career-best 19 raid points. Jaipur Pink Panthers got the first point of the match and were the better team in the opening quarter of the game. Skipper Deepak Hooda, Deepak Narwal and Nilesh Salunke raided with frequent success, while Vishal was their sole Tackle Point contributor as the Season 1 champions led 10-7 after 10 minutes. Bengal Warriors though came back strongly and tied things up at 10-10. Jaipur Pink Panthers’ defence began to find more success as the game progressed but the Season 1 champions were still all square at 13-13 in the final minute of the half. They did end the half with a successful tackle by Santhapanaselvam to take a slender 14-13 lead into the break, making it all to play for in the second period. Bengal Warriors began the second half with a bang thanks to a four-point Super Raid by K. Prapanjan that enforced an All-Out and made it 20-14 in favour of his team. Jaipur Pink Panthers responded with positive intent and cut Bengal Warriors’ lead to two points after a Super Raid by Salunke. However, Bengal Warriors’ skipper Maninder ensured that Jaipur Pink Panthers didn’t get too close to his team with some efficient raiding that saw them consistently ticking the scoreboard over. Salunke continued to fight for Jaipur Pink Panthers but didn’t find much support from his teammates as Bengal Warriors looked to tighten their stranglehold on the match with another All-Out that extended their advantage to eight points. A Super Raid by Maninder moments later then pushed Bengal Warriors’ lead to double digits and silenced the home crowd further. However, Jaipur Pink Panthers rallied late on to the approval of the home faithful and inflicted an All-Out with a little over two minutes left to make it a two-point game. The closing stages of the match saw Maninder play intelligently to ensure Jaipur Pink Panthers’ late surge went in vain as Bengal Warriors picked up the win to secure playoff qualification along with Dabang Delhi K.C. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Patna Pirates outplay Jaipur Pink Panthers through Pardeep and Lee’s smart raiding Pardeep Narwal’s excellent 14 raid point-performance, supported by Neeraj Kumar’s High 5 and Jang Kun Lee’s intelligent raiding in the dying minutes, gave Patna Pirates a 36-33 victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday. Sushil Gulia came off the bench to score 8 points in 8 raids for Jaipur Pink Panthers and Sandeep Dhull managed another High 5, but the team was unable to overcome the three-time champions in the closing minutes of the game. The raiders from both sides got early success before Patna Pirates’ defence struck by sending Deepak Hooda to the bench through Neeraj Kumar. Another tackle on Nitin Rawal then gave Patna Pirates more momentum before Pardeep Narwal’s Super Raid put them firmly in the driver’s seat. Pardeep then put in three more successful raids to bring Jaipur Pink Panthers on the verge of an All-Out, before a Super Tackle on the ‘Record-Breaker’ by Sandeep Dhull turned things around for his side. Ajinkya Pawar then put in two successful Do-or-Die raids, split by Amit Hooda’s tackle on Jang Kun Lee, to reduce Patna Pirates down to three men on the mat. Jaideep came to Patna Pirates’ rescue just at the right time to Super Tackle Pawar before Pardeep got a touch point on Rawal to reduce the score difference to one as Jaipur Pink Panthers led 15-14 at halftime. Amit Hooda’s Super Tackle on Pardeep in his first raid of the second period and Dhull’s Super Tackle on Monu soon after extended Jaipur Pink Panthers’ lead. But Lee’s two-point raid followed by Pardeep’s touches on Deepak and Nilesh Salunke in successive raids then reduced Jaipur Pink Panthers down to a solitary man, which soon translated to an All-Out to bring the score difference back to one point at 23-24 with 12 minutes left to play. Pardeep reached his Super 10 after the reset with a two-point raid to put Patna Pirates in the lead. But Dhull’s tackle on Pardeep in his next raid put Jaipur Pink Panthers back in the lead along with bringing up the defender’s High 5. Patna Pirates went back in the lead through Lee, but Sushil Gulia’s Super Raid brought back parity at 29-29 with just four minutes remaining on the clock. The teams kept trading blows from this point as Pardeep and Lee for Patna Pirates, and Deepak and Sushil for Jaipur Pink Panthers, kept the scoreboard ticking. But Neeraj Kumar’s successful tackles on Deepak and Sushil in quick time gave Patna Pirates a slender lead going into the final seconds. With a minute left to play, Lee ran down the clock brilliantly while Patna Pirates’ defence allowed Sushil just one point in the penultimate raid to help their team emerge successful by three points. Jaipur Pink Panthers held on to their slender first-half lead to see off a spirited Tamil Thalaivasfight back and register a 28-26 victory at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. This victory helped the visitors extend their lead at the top of the Season 7 standings to seven points. Jaipur Pink Panthers raced away to a 4-point lead early in the contest as their Corners – Sandeep Dhull and Amit Hooda – managed to strike early. But Tamil Thalaivas were equal to the task and managed to equalise at 6-6 through ‘Iceman’ Ajay Thakur and ‘Showman’ Rahul Chaudhari. Jaipur Pink Panthers managed a Super Tackle on each of the Tamil Thalaivas’ star raiders in quick succession to stay ahead. Deepak Narwal then came off the bench and put in three back-to-back successful raids. Thakur got a touch point on the dangerous Amit Hooda before half time as his team trailed Jaipur Pink Panthers 11-13 going into the break. The second half saw Jaipur Pink Panthers extend their lead through Deepak Hooda’s two-point raid and Pavan TR’s Super Tackle on Thakur. However, the home team soon levelled the scores by tackling Nitin Rawal and following it up with a 2-point Chaudhari raid which inflicted the All-Out. [Video Courtesy: Star Sports] Siddharth’s stunning show helps Telugu Titans beat Jaipur Pink Panthers Siddharth Desai turned on the style as Telugu Titans beat Jaipur Pink Panthers 51-31. Telugu Titans did the double over Jaipur Pink Panthers in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 after beating them by a 51-31 scoreline at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. ‘Baahubali’ Siddharth Desai was the difference-maker on the night and finished the match with 22 raid points. Telugu Titans raced into an early 3-0 lead with Siddharth looking lively while raiding. Siddharth then pulled off a Super Raid and continued to score points consistently as Jaipur Pink Panthers’ defence struggled to contain him. The home side’s raiders also started to have an influence on the contest as the half progressed with Deepak Hooda, Deepak Narwal and Nilesh Salunke scoring points for the hosts. Siddharth though seemed to be in a league of his own in the first half and ended it with 13 of his team’s 17 points as Telugu Titans took a slender two-point lead into the break. Telugu Titans made the most of their numerical advantage on the mat at the start of the second half. Successful raids by Rajnish as well as Siddharth and a crunching tackle by Farhad Milaghardan on Hooda led to the first All-Out of the game and extended Telugu Titans’ lead to 22-17. Telugu Titans maintained their intensity after the All-Out, while Jaipur Pink Panthers struggled to cope with the pace of the contest. Siddharth, in particular, continued to wreak havoc on the hosts’ defence and helped his side enforce another All-Out after executing a Super Raid to make it 31-18 in his team’s favour.     However, Jaipur Pink Panthers weren’t ready to throw in the towel yet and showed some fight through their raiders Hooda and Narwal. They had reduced Telugu Titans to just two men on court at one stage, but a two-point raid by Rajnish squashed any hopes of an All-Out and a comeback for them. Telugu Titans, in fact, went on to inflict a third All-Out on the hosts in closing stages of the match and eventually secured a comfortable 20-point victory.
