Overcoming Self Doubt With Jay Shetty The Art Of Charm Podcast 750
Overcoming Self Doubt With Jay Shetty The Art Of Charm Podcast 750

by The Art of C...

If you want to pursue your own happiness and fulfillment you are bound to make decisions that confuse or disappoint the people around you, which can lead to doubt and uncertainty in your own head, so what can you do to stay focused on your goals, how do you handle the mixed emotions of those around you, and why can trying to live up to the expectations of others lead to a life of endless regret? What to Listen For -Why does Jay Shetty give credit to Eminem for the way he approaches storytelling? -AJ asks Jay how he made the decision to become a monk at such a young age, leaving everything he knew behind. -How did Jay Shetty’s fun-filled successful life in London finance compare to his modest living as a monk in India? -What 3 things did Jay Shetty notice in the person who inspired him to pursue life as a monk, and why are they so important to be happy? -How do you deal with the toxic people you cut out of your life before achieving some success but who later want back in once they see how successful you’ve become? -Jay touches on how to handle doubt and resistance from the people you love when you want to make a life-changing decision -How do you deal with self-doubt and perfectionism when you’re trying to consistently create content with a far-reaching impact? -Why is it easier said than done to “Just be yourself” and what tips can you start using now to be more comfortable being you? -How are your passion, purpose, and happiness inextricably linked, and how can you develop your passion into a purpose to build your happiness? -If you love telling stories, how do you turn that love into full-time work? -How do you curate an inner circle you can trust and rely on for support as well as honest feedback and advice? You only get one life. You know this, but many of us don’t live our lives with that understanding in mind. It’s an important idea to comprehend for one simple fact: you don’t live anyone else’s life, and they don’t live yours. If you want to be happy and fulfilled you must make the decisions you want to make and not the decisions other people want you to make. No matter what you do, there will be people who are going to question you and doubt you, which is why it’s critical you believe in yourself and make your dreams priority number one. 10 Mistakes You Keep Making When Washing Your Face
10 Mistakes You Keep Making When Washing Your Face

by BRIGHT SIDE

How to improve your skin health? You try to be diligent and wash your face each and every day. But some of the things you’re probably doing during your daily face-washing regimen could actually be hurting your skin! Remember that it takes your skin 28 days to renew itself. So if you start using these tips right away, don’t expect results overnight. Also, if you’re looking for a healthy glow from within, consider drinking more water and eating healthier foods. TIMESTAMPS: Using products that aren’t meant for your skin type 0:43 Not washing your hands before you wash your face 1:39 Washing your face with water of the wrong temperature 2:29 Not removing your makeup first 3:25 Using facial scrubs too frequently 4:03 Drying your face with a towel 5:11 Using a harsh toner 6:35 Skipping on the serum 7:15 Forgetting about SPF 7:59 Not paying attention to the ingredients in your skincare products 8:41 #facialskin #healthyskin #skincare Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - When it comes to skincare, the first thing you need to determine is your skin type. Is it normal, dry, oily, combination, or sensitive? This is really important because you have to understand what your skin needs from you in order to take care of it properly. - If you don’t want those germs to spread to your face, wash your hands thoroughly with soap before you begin washing your face. - Despite the common belief that washing your face with hot water will help open up your pores so that it’ll be easier for you to clean them, hot water will actually end up leaving your face red, blotchy, and irritated. - If you wear makeup, use micellar water and a cotton ball to gently wipe the makeup from your face. It’s best to spend 10 seconds on each eye. - Your skin is a smart organ, and it does a good job of exfoliating dead skin cells on its own, shedding about 35,000 of them each hour! Excessive scrubbing will only leave your skin irritated and inflamed and can even lead to premature aging. - Instead of using a towel, use tissues, paper towels, or even toilet paper! Just be sure to use the side that’s facing the inside of the toilet paper roll. - Avoid any toners that contain alcohol since they’ll leave your skin dehydrated and irritated. Even if you have oily skin, don’t be tempted. - Serums are almost magical when it comes to making your skin healthier. And that’s because they offer highly concentrated doses of skin-boosting elements. - Protecting your skin from harmful UV rays is an absolute must! Even if problems like premature aging and hyperpigmentation don’t scare you, then the threat of getting skin cancer should. - When it comes to which moisturizer to use, you should avoid those that contain oil and look for facial moisturizers that are non-comedogenic. 10 Foods You Should And Shouldnt Wash Before Cooking
10 Foods You Should And Shouldnt Wash Before Cooking

by BRIGHT SIDE

Since childhood, we’ve been taught to always wash everything we’re about to eat to make it safe for our health. However, very few people know that sometimes this habit does more harm than good. Washing certain foods can spread dangerous bacteria that make their way into your body and wreak havoc on your well-being. You don’t need to wash store-bought eggs since they’ve already been washed during commercial processing. Plus, manufacturers often put special substances on eggs to protect them from bacterial contamination. When you wash chicken or meat, the water helps the bacteria spread to your hands and the kitchen sink. Washing mushrooms isn’t a good idea because the more water mushrooms absorb, the weaker their flavor is. You should also never soak, remove the stalk, or peel them. You absolutely have to wash fruits and vegetables with both edible and inedible skin. Don't soak fruits and vegetables in water, either. This won't clean them but only spread the bacteria. Use running water, it's a safer bet. Just dry the food with a paper towel or a napkin after the “cold shower”. Food will definitely get contaminated if you don't wash the can really well before you open it. You should also always wash fresh nuts before eating them, even if they’re peeled. Music: Seven – Twenty https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Never wash these foods: Eggs 0:29 Chicken 1:10 Meat 2:08 Pasta 3:11 Mushrooms 3:55 Always wash these foods: Fruits and vegetables with edible skin 4:30 Fruits and vegetables with inedible skin 5:12 Cans 5:58 Nuts 6:34 Dried fruit 7:21 SUMMARY -Don't wash store-bought eggs. You will remove the protective layer so if the shell gets cracked, chances are the egg will become infected. -When you wash chicken, the water helps the bacteria spread to your hands and the kitchen sink. -Just like chicken, you shouldn't wash raw meat, like beef, pork, veal, or lamb, because it’s also covered in bacteria that the water just spreads all around. -Washing pasta is pretty much criminal in the culinary world because the water removes the starch that helps the noodles absorb sauce more effectively. -Washing mushrooms isn’t a good idea because the more water mushrooms absorb, the weaker their flavor is. -Rinse fruits and vegetables with edible skin under regular cold running water to remove 99% of the dangerous bacteria. Dry the food with a paper towel or a napkin after the “cold shower”. -Even if you aren't planning on eating the rind of a lemon or orange, you still need to wash these fruits and also scrub the outside with a clean brush. -Wash your tin cans with soap before you ever open them to prevent their contents from getting contaminated. -Washing nuts helps get rid of the phytic acid they contain. Plus, you never know for sure where they’ve been stored, how they were transported, and how many people touched them at the grocery store. -Even if you bought dried fruit in a nice pretty package, you have to wash it first or soak it for a few hours.
